CARLSBAD, Calif. (KGTV) — One man has been arrested and another person is dead following a North County apartment complex shooting earlier this month.A verbal dispute in the 5100 block of Whitman Way on Aug. 4 erupted into a triple shooting just before 6 a.m., according to Carlsbad Police. The suspected gunman, Jonathan Wilburn, of Carlsbad, reportedly retrieved a firearm at a family gathering and shot two people, in addition to accidentally shooting himself.One victim received non-life threatening injuries while the other was in critical condition. CAMP PENDLETON, Calif. (KGTV) -- One Marine was killed and six others injured in a rollover during a training exercise at Camp Pendleton Thursday morning. The rollover happened around 9 a.m. Thursday and involved a light armored vehicle. The six Marines injured in the crash were taken to a local hospital with injuries not considered serious. The Marines are from the 1st Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion, 1st Marine Division, according to officials. The cause of the rollover is under investigation. Burning Man co-founder Larry Harvey passed away on Saturday, according to festival CEO Marian Goodell. He was 70 years old.Goodell made the announcement through a blog post on Burning Man's website.
