BEIJING, Dec. 23 (Xinhua) -- China is preparing to promote green and sustainable development at the 2019 World Horticultural Expo, Vice Premier Wang Yang said Wednesday.

WUZHEN, Zhejiang, Dec. 16 (Xinhua) -- At the opening of the second World Internet Conference on Wednesday, China made sure its voice was heard: Every country has the right to create its own Internet governance model, and the cyber sovereignty of all nations should be respected.

In the longer term, China aims to expand the network to cover all neighboring countries and regions, countries within the Belt and Road network, most emerging economies, big developing countries, major regional economic groups, and parts of the developed world.

At the invitation of Chinese Premier Li Keqiang, government leaders from the six member states of the SCO, including Kazakhstan's Prime Minister Karim Masimov, Kyrgyz Prime Minister Temir Sariyev, Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, Tajik Prime Minister Qohir Rasulzoda, and First Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Rustam Azimov will attend the meeting.

The current chairman of the African Union, Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe, said unlike the West, China has remained a dependable ally in the endeavor to promote development, peace and security in Africa.
