SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — San Diego County public health officials on Saturday urged residents to heed the state's health order as the coronavirus surges and ICU capacity is stretched across the state.California's Southern California region, which includes San Diego, Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, Imperial, Inyo, Mono, San Bernardino, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, and Ventura counties, fell to 12.5% ICU capacity on Saturday.Saturday, San Diego County's ICU capacity sat at 20.9%, though Supervisor Nathan Fletcher said trends have the county's capacity worsening."We will below 15% in San Diego County in the coming days or weeks," Fletcher added. "We are on a trajectory where we will be there in the near future anyway."Under the regional stay-at-home order, restrictions will last for three weeks and ban gatherings of people from different households. The company, led by Filipino-American friends Jelynn Malone, Beverly Magtanong, Sam Magtanong, and Mike Arquines, has operated in San Diego since 2013 and gained a reputation for their creative drinks."We dreamt up this company and wanted our Filipino culture to be a part of it, but we didn't know anything about coffee or where to begin to source Philippine coffee," said Malone. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — San Diego Police are searching for a gunman after one person was shot and injured in the Logan Heights area on Sunday.Police said a 24-year-old man was sitting on his porch at 2248 Ocean View Blvd. when a vehicle drove up. A suspect exited the passenger side of the vehicle and fire one shot, hitting the victim in the buttocks.The suspect got back in the vehicle and fled the scene.The victim was taken to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.SDPD officers are investigating the shooting. 532

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- San Diego Padres outfielder Tommy Pham is expected to miss 4-6 weeks after breaking a bone in his left hand during the team’s loss at Arizona Sunday.Padres skipper Jayce Tingler confirmed Pham’s injury during an appearance Monday on MLB Network Radio.The injury happened during Pham’s ninth inning at-bat in Sunday’s game. The left fielder/DH fouled off a pitch and then immediately shook his left hand in apparent pain.Following a visit from the trainer, Pham exited the game, forcing the Padres to put Greg Garcia in to finish the at-bat in the eventual 5-4 loss.
