(KGTV) — Authorities have identified the South Bay woman killed in a multi-vehicle pileup on Interstate 5 in Irvine this week.Maria Osuna, 25, of National City, was killed in the collision involving at least nine vehicles at about 1:25 a.m. on I-5 near Irvine Spectrum Center.Osuna was the only person killed in the crash, according to California Highway Patrol.RELATED: Girl, 12, among victims in fiery wrong-way crash on Interstate 805 in University City areaA six-month-old boy, believed to be Osuna's son, also suffered "major to moderate injuries" in the crash. 10News learned that the boy was taken to Mission Viejo hospital.Two other children from different vehicles were also hospitalized with unknown injuries.A 22-year-old Nevada man was arrested on suspicion of DUI, according to ABC7 in Los Angeles. Authorities believe he caused the chain-reaction crash.An Uber driver told ABC7 that his Toyota Prius -- which had no passengers at the time -- was the first to be struck by the suspect’s Dodge Challenger. (CNN) -- Target's revamped loyalty program is ready for its nationwide debut.Target Circle will be available to shoppers in the United States beginning October 6. Program perks include earning 1% on Target purchases, personalized deals and early access to its sales. The launch follows an 18-month test in six cities that garnered 2 million members.The expansion of the loyalty program complements Target's branded credit card, Redcard, which only a quarter of its customers use. It also replaces Cartwheel, a separate discount program, in an attempt to offer a "more seamless, intuitive shopping experience."The program is free. Target will begin automatically enrolling members that have Target.com and Redcard accounts. To use it, customers can swipe a barcode from the Target app or provide their phone number at checkout.The company has said earlier this year that Target Circle also gives the company more data about shopping habits. For example, if Target knows a shopper frequently buys diapers and baby products, it could email the customer an offer for diapers."This will help Target build a more complete picture of shoppers," said Neil Saunders, managing director at GlobalData Retail previously told CNN Business. (KGTV) — An asteroid discovered by Palomar Observatory is set to make a pass by Earth the day before the 2020 U.S. election.The asteroid, dubbed "2018 VP1," was first noticed by the San Diego County observatory on Nov. 3, 2018, according to data from NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory. It's estimated to measure about 5.9 and 12.8 feet in diameter.NASA is currently forecasting that the space rock will come between 4,800 to 260,000 miles of our atmosphere on Nov. 2. For comparison, the International Space Station is about 254 miles above the planet.The probability of 2018 VP1 impacting our planet is 1 in 240 or about 0.41%.NASA keeps a running list of potential asteroid threats to the planet. Currently, there are no immediate threats listed on the agency's website. The largest known risk is a 4,200-foot wide asteroid with a 0.012% chance of hitting Earth in 860 years. 884
