SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — Months after pricey photography equipment disappeared during a car burglary in Pacific Beach, the victim made a stunning discovery at an estate sale right in his own neighborhood.Near Pacific Beach Drive and Ingraham Street in February, Danny Desanti came out and found all the doors of his hatchback open. Desanti, a professional photographer, had loaded up the night before for an early morning shoot in Santa Barbara."Didn't want to wake up my baby, so I loaded items the night before ... huge loss for me," said Desanti.The loss was dozens of items and more than ,000 worth of missing equipment, painful for a small business owner."Since then, I've been slowly buying the stuff back and renting the gear," said Desanti.Nine months later, Desanti saw a sign for an estate sale less than a block from his home. The sale was taking place at a house of an elderly man he had never met.He stopped by and after some browsing inside, something caught his eye. He looked around and saw a lighting clamp which looked very familiar. That's when he peered in for a closer look."My heart skipped a beat. Couldn't believe it. Absolutely shocked," said Desanti.Written on the clamp was his last name. The clamp was stolen during the car break-in. He says he continued to browse and found a handful of other items that were taken, including cables and reflectors."Got goosebumps. The hair on back of neck stood up," said Desanti.After he ran back home to get his police report, the company handling the estate sale let him have stuff back. Most of his stolen equipment has yet to be recovered. "Anybody would bought any lighting equipment at the estate sale, I would really appreciate it if you would get in touch with me," said Desanti.The questions linger. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Passengers in a deadly bus crash near Fallbrook on I-15 Saturday suffered broken bones, cuts and scrapes, according to California Highway Patrol.A 23-year-old woman from Mexico, a 73-year-old woman from Pasadena, and a 67-year-old woman from Riverside lost their lives in the crash.In a press release CHP stated 8 of the 20 passengers were from Mexico, one was from Temecula and the others were from Southern California. Their ages range from 5-years-old to 75-years-old.READ RELATED: At least three dead, 18 injured in bus rollover on Interstate 15The 5-year-old boy who was airlifted to the University of Riverside Health Services Medical Center has life threatening head injuries. He was from Mexico.Four passengers are being cared for at Inland Valley Medical Center. Seven are being treated at Temecula Valley Medical Center. Five are at the Palomar Medical Center.CHP issued a correction, saying there were 21 people total on the bus, instead of 22 as they reported Saturday. The error came from double counting the driver.CHP said the National Transportation and Safety Board is arriving Monday to investigate the crash.The bus crashed off the side of South Bound I-15 around 10:25 a.m. Saturday while rain was falling south of Fallbrook. 1272

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - One man is dead after a car hopped onto a sidewalk and ran over him.A vehicle traveling southbound near 3950 Normal St. in Hillcrest veered off the road and onto the sidewalk at about 11 p.m. Friday. In the process, the vehicle ran over a man sleeping on the sidewalk, killing him.Police said the vehicle continued through some bushes and into a parking lot, where it collided with a parked car. The vehicle fled the area traveling eastbound on University Ave.The vehicle was described as a silver Honda Accord. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Police are asking for the public’s help identifying a man they believe robbed the same San Diego gas station twice in six months.According to police, the first robbery happened at the Chevron on the 3500 block of National Avenue on June 2 at 4 a.m. with the second taking place November 3 at 3:52 a.m.During both robberies, the suspect stole cash and cigarettes, pointing a handgun at the clerk. The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 35 to 40-years-old and between 5’6’” and 5’9” tall.During the June robbery the man was wearing blue jeans and a black hooded sweatshirt.
