An atheist couple in Canada who complained about classroom celebrations of religious holidays was awarded ,000 (almost ,000 in US money) by a human rights tribunal after their daughter was barred from re-enrolling in her preschool.The outspoken parents sued Bowen Island Montessori School (BIMS) in Bowen Island, British Columbia after the school asked the family to sign a letter agreeing to the school's multicultural curriculum -- refusing to register the girl for the following school year until the letter was signed.The parents, Gary Mangel and Mai Yasué, said barring their daughter from enrollment constituted discrimination against their religion, race, ancestry and family status."This case is not about a challenge to BIMS curriculum," wrote tribunal member Barbara Korenkiewicz in her verdict. An unauthorized vehicle drove onto Travis Air Force Base in Northern California, crashed and erupted into flames, killing the driver, authorities said.There were no other fatalities in the security breach Wednesday night, the base said in a statement. It did not identify the driver, but said the car "gained unauthorized access" through the main gate."Travis AFB security forces immediately responded," the statement said. "Additionally, the base's explosive ordnance disposal team, office of special investigations and other responders were on scene."It's unclear whether the crash was deliberate. The Air Force and the FBI are investigating."The investigation is ongoing and there are no current known threats to the base or community," the base said. " The main gate has reopened and all other facilities are operating as normal."Travis Air Force Base is home to 10,000 military personnel, and a major hub for logistics and military cargo in the Pacific. It's the largest military aerial port in the US, and includes facilities for airlift and aerial refueling.The base is located in Solano County and is midway between Sacramento and San Francisco."The safety and welfare of our airmen, their families and our local community is our top priority," said Col. An online movement is raising awareness about the discrimination some high school students face at private and prep schools.One of many social media pages highlighting the issue is Black at Lovett. The organizers are two alumni who have taken submissions from students, parents and faculty, and share their experiences at the The Lovett School anonymously. Some of the stories go back decades.“I guess one of the things that was kind of surprising, but also we all knew what was going on, was that we all shared a lot of the same stories and a lot of the same experiences with the same students, the same administrators, the same teachers,” said Allison Burns, co-creator of Black at Lovett.The alumni have worked together using experiences from their current jobs to offer policy recommendations to Atlanta school and the community.“We want to make this better for future black students who attend this school, and that's the driving force behind this and why we want this to be an effort of love, a labor of love in some ways,” said Ashley Jeffrey, co-creator of Black at Lovett.Another page, True Colors of Columbia, highlights stories from Columbia Grammar & Preparatory School in New York. The co-creators just graduated and echo what they say needs to be done to help the next generation at these institutions.“How many more discussions with the administration, petitions, and emails and meetings do we need to have until kids aren't being told that they're going to be lynched?” asked Lauren Gloster, co-creator of True Colors of Columbia.While grateful for the education, the girls say they've felt the need to step in to help peers better understand racial differences. They're also worried current students might not speak up for fear of losing scholarships.“We all felt very compelled to not only create a safe platform where students like us could share their experiences and their stories but could also feel a sense of unity and community as well,” said Imani Camara, co-creator of True Colors of Columbia.We reached out to both schools.Lovett sent us a statement saying they don't want anyone to feel silenced due to their identity. And the title of the next Avengers film is...Endgame.Marvel Studios released the first trailer for the fourth — and possibly final — Avengers film on Friday, confirming suspicions that the movie would be called "End Game."The trailer offers few hints to the fate of a number of superheroes following the ending of Avengers: Infinity War, but offers a glimpse of heroes Black Widow, Captain America, Hawkeye, Nebula, Iron Man and the Incredible Hulk.The end of the trailer introduces Hank Pym, aka Ant-Man into the new film's storyline, after he was absent from Infinity War.The message tweeted alongside the video?
