SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — The Last Real Gym on North Park’s University Avenue took to the streets immediately after it became illegal to operate indoors in mid-July.The whole experiment lasted five days.“The sidewalks are pretty dirty between dog poop, dog pee … and human poop from the homeless sleeping on my side of the building,” owner Frank Kole said Friday.Kole decided to move everything back indoors in defiance of the Gov. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Surveillance video captured the moment after a thief stole a woman's wallet inside a Midway District grocery store.According to San Diego Crime Stoppers, the theft happened on Sept. 23 inside the Ralph’s grocery store located at 3345 Sports Arena Blvd.While the 73-year-old female victim was in the freezer section, the man waited for the victim to open a freezer door and then approached her shopping cart. The suspect quickly removed the victim's wallet from her purse, which was placed at the top of the shopping cart.The victim was right next to the cart but was looking inside a freezer when the theft occurred.The suspected thief walked away without the victim realizing what had happened. The total loss of the wallet and cash inside it is over ,500.Investigators reviewed store surveillance footage, which showed the man following the victim throughout the store and appearing to target her.The suspected thief is described as a white male, approximately 5’10“ tall, 175 lbs., with tanned skin. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — The famed Jessop's Clock that has rested in Horton Plaza since the center opened has been removed.Tuesday, the clock was moved into temporary storage, though the location is not being revealed, according to Jim Jessop, former owner of Jessop's Jewelry, a plaza mainstay for 125 years before closing in 2017.Upon announcing the closing of Jessop's Jewelry, the plaza asked Jessop to move the clock.RELATED: Grocery chain suing Horton Plaza over millions in sales lossesIt's likely the clock, constructed in 1907, will remain in temporary storage for a couple of years until its new location's lease is signed, Jessop says.The fact that its current location is being kept secret may be due to security concerns.
