Firefighters battling the Holy Fire in Southern California took care of a dehydrated fawn Monday afternoon. Officials with the Cleveland National Forest tweeted that the firefighters stumbled upon the fawn and discovered she was heat exhausted and dehydrated. The men can be seen in a photo giving the fawn a much-needed drink of water before helping get her back on her feet.  410

Firefighters in the Dallas-Fort Worth area are currently battling a massive warehouse fire at a plant that manufactures plastics.According to the Ft. Worth Star-Telegram, the massive fire is burning at a Poly-America warehouse in Grand Prarie, Texas. The company makes several products out of polyethylene plastic, including construction film and trash bags.According to the Star-Telegram, the fire was first reported at about midnight local time. A collapsed power line may be responsible for starting the fire.The fire has also spread to a nearby railroad car, which was full of paint products.The Grand Prarie Fire Department has asked those nearby to avoid the area.There are no initial reports of injuries. 719

Now, Baby Yoda is sharing the force with firefighters around the western U.S. and bringing smiles to thousands of fans.Carver told his grandmother he wanted to do something to help those on the front lines of the deadly wildfires. She heard of a donation drive helping firefighters and took Carver shopping to buy items to donate, according to CNN.Carver focused in on a Baby Yoda doll, so he sent it off in the care package with a note telling the firefighters, “here is a friend for you, in case you get lonely,” according to posts in a Facebook group dedicated to the doll’s adventures. 778

Former Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, a Nevada Democrat, underwent surgery for pancreatic cancer Monday, according to a statement from Reid's family."Today, Former Democratic Leader Harry Reid underwent surgery at Johns Hopkins Cancer Center to remove a tumor from his pancreas," the family's statement said. "His doctors caught the problem early during a routine screening and his surgeons are confident that the surgery was a success and that the prognosis for his recovery is good. He will undergo chemotherapy as the next step in his treatment. He is now out of surgery, in good spirits and resting with his family. Former NFL quarterback Johnny Manziel is slated to take his talents north of the border, as Manziel announced on Saturday he has signed a contract with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the CFL. Manziel has faced challenges both on and off the football field since winning the 2012 Heisman Trophy. In 2016, Manziel was charged with domestic violence. Those charges were later dismissed. Also in 2016, Manziel was suspended for four games for violating the NFL's substance abuse policy.After an impressive collegiate stint at Texas A&M, Manziel's football career quickly flamed out. Manziel hasn't played professional football since 2015, when he was a member of the Cleveland Browns. Over two seasons, Manziel played in 15 games, and threw seven touchdowns and seven interceptions. "I don't want to wait around any more," Manziel said on Saturday. "I want to get on the field and get in the locker room and get a chance to play ball again. This is the best opportunity for me." Manziel said he is grateful for a second chance at professional football. Manziel is expected not to start at quarterback Hamilton, coach June Jones said.
