Andrea Davis laughs about the early days of her relationship were her husband, Jared Davis, when the two met in an 11th grade English class at Cathedral Catholic High School in San Diego. "But just to see that, I think that was one of the hardest things to see someone that was younger than you just be affected by it so much."As for their own health, the couple says Sharp has a strict regimen, including the right personal protective equipment (PPE) to insure safety."They do their best to make sure that we're taken care of," said Jared.And the couple support each other."With COVID, there was so much unknown in the beginning of it, that we had to take all these special precautions," said Andrea. "And we got to share that with each other. 'What are you doing? OK, what are some extra steps we can take to keep us extra safe?'"While their work requires strict protocols, there's room for sensitivity. The nurses say iPads have been loaned to families so they can visit their loved ones virtually.And Andrea has helped patients look their best to feel a little better. "It's one of my things I love to do," she said, "Especially men's 5 o'clock shadow, I love getting rid of that. You know, just basic needs. They're anxious and they're at their most vulnerable state when they are in the intensive care unit."From 7 at night to 7:30 the next morning, Andrea and Jared Davis are part of the local story of intensive care, of COVID care, in San Diego."How rewarding it is," said Andrea, "to help others when they're at their most vulnerable and at their all-time low. It keeps us energized."And the Davis family is growing. The couple expecting their first child, a baby girl, in February. LEHIGH ACRES, Fla. - A Lee County, Florida woman is fed up with her delivered packages being roughed up.Nora Martin has discovered her stuff in some weird places. "They've ended up all over the front of my house," Martin said. "Even in the flower bed."Martin and her husband set up a surveillance camera to see how their postal carrier delivered packages.They couldn't believe their eyes as they watched their son's box tossed from the delivery car's window with zero care.  "10 feet from my door, and the best she could do was hurl my package out the window," Martin said.Martin said she was upset because her son was the one who ordered collectibles. She was the one who saw his disappointment when he saw the damaged box."He works very hard for his money. (KGTV) - The newest show at the La Jolla Playhouse is giving audiences a modern take on a classic tale."Fly," tells the story of Peter Pan, but it puts the focus squarely on Wendy, showing her journey from Lost Girl to a young woman."A lot of times we have your typical ingenue Wendy where a lot of the events of Neverland happen to her," explains actress Storm Lever, who plays Wendy. "In this one, you really get to watch her find her voice and find her power and own her voice and own her power."The actor says the show is perfect for its time, after the rise of the #MeToo movement, the women's march and other female empowerment platforms."Our thesis is that growing up is good," says Isabelle McCalla, who plays Tinkerbell. Las Vegas police are reporting that a cook at the Bellagio hotel-casino on the Las Vegas Strip, Alex Hernandez, was arrested on one count of embezzlement on Feb. 26 for reportedly taking food home.Bellagio security informed officers that Hernandez had been caught stuffing 25 lobster tails in his backpack and walking out the back door with them.The lobster tails were valued at around each, making the total haul worth about ,875.  456
