SAN DIEGO (CNS) - The San Diego Association of Governments will begin a weekend closure of rail service between Solana Beach and downtown San Diego Saturday to continue bluff stabilization work in Del Mar.The work window is scheduled from just after midnight Saturday morning to 5 a.m. Monday along the Los Angeles-San Diego-San Luis Obispo rail corridor, which serves the North County Transit District, Metrolink, Amtrak commuter rail companies and the freight line BNSF.SANDAG and NCTD crews will install roughly 80 feet of concrete along the rail corridor from Sea Grove Park to 15th Street, which will act similarly to a retaining wall to protect against bluff collapse and washout, which occurred during a period of heavy rain last month. SAN DIEGO (CNS) - The San Diego Convention Center announced its planned road closure windows Wednesday for Comic-Con 2019, scheduled for July 17- 21.Harbor Drive will be closed to all traffic between First Avenue and Park Boulevard from 3-10 p.m. July 17, 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. July 18-20 and 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. July 21. The closure will affect all non-foot traffic, according to the convention center, including cars, bikes, skateboards and dockless bikes and scooters.Comic-Con attendees will also need a valid convention badge to access the convention center, its front drive and adjacent terraces and sidewalks. SAN DIEGO (CNS) - Police Tuesday were searching for two men who carjacked a man at gunpoint in the parking lot of the Mission Valley mall.It happened around 7:35 p.m. Monday in the parking lot of the Nordstrom Rack at 1640 Camino Del Rio North, San Diego police Officer John Buttle said.A man, whose age was not immediately available, was sitting in his blue 2007 Hyundai Sonata -- with California license plate 5XXK569 -- when two men approached the driver's side of his car, Buttle said.One of the men pulled out a black semi-automatic handgun and pointed it at the victim, demanding he give up his car, the officer said.The victim got out of the car and both men got in, then one of the men noticed the man's cell phone in the vehicle and demanded the passcode before the pair fled eastbound on Camino De La Reina in the Hyundai, Buttle said. 853
