Matthew Kraft began his trip on Feb. 23 at the Kearsarge Pass trailhead, just west of the Independence, Calif., in Inyo County, according to the 1st Marines Division. He was scheduled to end in Bridgeport, Calif., on March 5. Kraft's skiing and hiking trip was set to cover the Sierra High Route, the Marines Division said.Crews are also trying to locate Kraft's rental car, a gray 2006 two-door Jeep Wrangler. She is in the film industry, which has mostly been shut down during this pandemic. With the help of others, like Ruddy Salazar, they have grown the page to more than 40,000 members.Salazar knows the frustration of dealing with the Employment Development Department firsthand. He has been on both disability and unemployment. “I’ve actually had to call three times now. The first two times took around 300 calls,” Salazar said. “I think it’s frustrating to see that this many people need that help. That our government isn’t there,” Chan said. Questions on the Facebook page range from the application process, identity verification, benefit extensions, and how to actually reach someone in the EDD office to help.They hope the group can give people an avenue to avoid having to call the EDD. (KGTV) — A high-speed pursuit in the Los Angeles area turned into a manhunt after a group of men abandoned their car and fled together on foot.Police were in pursuit of possible armed robbery suspects on the westbound 134 Freeway Friday shortly after 4 p.m., according to ABC-affiliate KABC. The vehicle hit speeds of more than 100 mph before heading onto surface streets in North Hollywood.The vehicle then led police onto the southbound 170 Freeway and the southbound 101 Freeway in Universal City, before five men exited the vehicle and fled into a residential area on foot, KABC reports.Police combed and locked down the neighborhood for nearly three hours, eventually arresting four of the five suspects around 8:30 p.m. K9 officers were used to track the men down, two of them were bit severely enough to be sent to the hospital, KABC reported.
