SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Police are asking for the public’s help searching for a missing 13-year-old girl who disappeared from San Diego in late November. According to police, Kymilah Wolford went missing from her home in the Emerald Hills area of Southeastern San Diego on November 30 around 10 a.m. Wolford was last seen wearing black leggings and a gray hoodie. She is described as five feet, four inches tall, weighs approximately 170 pounds and has short, black hair and brown eyes. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — Pacific Beach mother Sandy Algra says her number one job is keeping her child safe, something she wasn’t able to do a few months ago.Algra and her 3-year-old son were at Liberty Station Park when he was scratched by a dirty needle, sending him to the emergency room. Algra says he underwent an infectious disease consultation and will require HIV and Hepatitis C tests every six months.“Right now I’m trying to channel and redirect the anger that I feel about what happened to him, that I wasn’t able to keep him safe," said Algra.She's created a petition to designate San Diego’s playgrounds for children only; adults are only allowed if they’re accompanied by a child.Similar ordinances already exist in New York and Florida, people who violate them can face fines. "I think that most people can use common sense and understand that an adult is not meant to be living under a slide, or sitting on a swing doing drugs or otherwise, that's not what these playgrounds are designed for," said Algra. That drug saved San Diegan Troy Kahle's life and has saved others."I did survive and I did have the five-day treatment," Kahle said. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Police are searching for a man they say shot someone outside a liquor store in San Diego’s Mountain View neighborhood Saturday night.According to police, the incident happened on the 3700 block of Ocean View Boulevard at 10:10 p.m.Police say the suspect approached the 45-year-old man while at the liquor store and started an argument. During the argument, the suspect pulled out a gun and shot the 45-year-old before walking away.The victim was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries by his mother.
