A 72-year old woman was gored by a bison in Yellowstone National Park on Thursday, June 25.A news release from park officials says the tourist approached within 10 feet of a bison several times to take its photo, and the bison gored her. It happened Thursday evening at the woman's campsite at Bridge Bay Campground.Rangers provided immediate medical care to the woman who sustained numerous goring wounds. She was then flown via helicopter to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.“The series of events that led to the goring suggest the bison was threatened by being repeatedly approached to within 10 feet,” said Yellowstone’s senior bison biologist, Chris Geremia. “Bison are wild animals that respond to threats by displaying aggressive behaviors like pawing the ground, snorting, bobbing their head, bellowing, and raising their tail. If that doesn’t make the threat (in this instance it was a person) move away, a threatened bison may charge. DENVER – The man who was detained after driving his car through a crowd of protesters rallying for Breonna Taylor says he had no intention of hurting anybody and was only defending himself after his vehicle was surrounded by demonstrators outside the Colorado State Capitol building in Denver Wednesday night.“I was driving to go pick up a client and I saw a commotion, I saw police lights at 14th and Lincoln and so when I was there, at the Capitol, I wasn’t really looking left, I was looking right to see the accident and by the time I turned, I started getting surrounded by people,” said Jonathan Benson, who claimed demonstrators yelled, kicked and even used a hammer on his windshield as they tried to get him to leave the area.Video from AIRTRACKER7, as well as from reporters on the ground, showed the small crowd of protesters surrounding Benson’s vehicle and blocking his way. A Tulsa police officer has died Tuesday morning after being shot in the line of duty on Monday. Chief Wendell Franklin made the announcement on Tuesday afternoon. Sgt. Craig Johnson died after being shot during a traffic stop around 3:30 a.m. on Monday.Police say the second officer involved in the shooting, Officer Aurash Zarkeshan, is improving and has been responsive to medical staff. Two people are in custody including the alleged gunman, David Ware. Ware is now charged with one count of homicide. He’s due in court this Thursday.Johnson joined TPD in 2005 and became sergeant in 2015. He worked at the Mingo Valley Division.Franklin said around 3:25 a.m. Monday, Officer Zarkeshan stopped a vehicle on a regular traffic stop near 21st and Mingo. The officer approached the vehicle, got the driver's information and went back to his vehicle. Another officer was assigned to the stop with him. Johnson responded and they both went back to the car.They talked to the only person in the car, Ware. Ware refused to get out of the vehicle and went back and forth with them. Franklin said this went on for several minutes.Franklin said Johnson asked Ware 12 times to get out of the vehicle and threatened to use his Taser. Johnson did end up using the Taser on Ware but it did not incapacitate him. Johnson also used pepper spray twice but it did not stop Ware.The two physically removed Ware from the car, that's when he got a handgun from inside the car and fired multiple shots at them. Police said Ware then slowly walked to a waiting vehicle nearby.A manhunt ensued in east Tulsa. Police located Ware near 31st and Mingo and took him into custody. ***UPDATE - suspect in custody***After following several leads, we were able to track the suspect down to a house.
