A Valrico, Florida mom is sharing her experience on social media after she said she was asked asked to wait outside the Plant City DMV office with her infant daughter.Liz Gatley, a stay-at-home mother of three girls, said she was asked by a representative at the Plant City Tag Office to take her one-year-old daughter outside or come back another day. In a picture on Facebook you can see at least four young children, one in a stroller, and the mothers waiting outside the office. Gatley said her daughter, as well as the other children were not being disruptive and said she's a firm believer of taking them outside if they were. In the post, Gatley wrote, "I was so mad but I was also embarrassed and confused," she said. She went on to say, "for you to embarrass me and be extremely rude, unapologetic and not understanding the fact many moms are stay at home moms with little to no help, is what bothers me."Gatley said she and the mothers stood outside with no bench or air conditioning as they waited two hours to be seen at the office. At the end of the post she said, "if you have children, go to another location!"Doug Belden with the Hillsborough County Tax Collector's spoke with Tampa-based WFTS on Friday afternoon. He apologized to Gatley and the experience at the Plant City office noting it was not the friendly and efficient policy that is in place.Belden said he called Gatley directly and told her he would meet with her at her earliest convenience, even throughout the weekend to help get the facts of what happened. Belden said he is outraged that Gatley experienced this at his office, and that children are always welcome in the offices across Hillsborough County.He went on to say that he will be looking into this employee, and taking appropriate measures -- and even went as far to say he plans to check with the landlord to see if they can install benches outside the office. We asked Belden if Gatley should have gone back inside, and he said "absolutely" adding if he found out about this situation at the time, he would have taken care of this immediately. Gatley said Belden was sincere in his apologies and plans to take him up on his offer of meeting with her as soon as possible.  2349

A van covered in conservative political bumper stickers parked nearby where a suspect was arrested in connection with a series of package bombs sent to liberal politicians and donors was taken into police custody Friday.The van was plastered with large stickers in support of President Trump. It also included a sticker of Hillary Clinton in a sniper's crosshairs and a "CNN Sucks!" sticker.Police covered the van in a tarp and drove it to a nearby facility.It's unclear if the van belongs to Cesar Sayoc, the man arrested in connection with the package bombs, though it was located in a parking lot of the same auto parts store in which Sayoc was arrested.At least 12 package bombs were sent to liberal politicians and donors this week. None of the bombs exploded and no one was injured.  807

A San Francisco lawmaker has introduced an ordinance that would make it illegal to make a racially-biased 911 call within the city limits.According to KPIX-TV in San Francisco and The Los Angeles Times, San Francisco City Supervisor Shamann Walton introduced the "Caution Against Racially Exploitative Non-Emergencies (CAREN) Act" on Tuesday.The CAREN acronym is a play on the name "Karen" — the name social media users often label those who make racially-based 911 calls in viral videos.In a statement to NBC, Walton said that the act would "make it unlawful for an individual to contact law enforcement solely to discriminate on the basis of a person's race, ethnicity, religious affiliation, gender, sexual orientation, or gender identity."The proposed legislation is similar to a bill currently making its way through the California State Assembly. That bill, AB 1550, was introduced by Assemblyman Rob Bonta (D-Oakland)."Using 911 as a tool for your prejudice towards marginalized communities is unjust and wrong!" A Philadelphia woman is hailing a Cleveland Clinic doctor a hero after he helped save her life while on an airplane. On Saturday, 28-year-old Ashley Spencer boarded an American Airlines flight in Philadelphia destined for Cleveland. But shortly after the plane took off Spencer passed out."I stopped breathing," she said. "I still had a pulse. That's when the stewardess said, 'Is there any medical professionals on the aircraft? It's an emergency.'" Spencer, who has a severe peanut allergy, was having an allergic reaction to a bag of chips she had eaten right before the flight. Her body was going into anaphylactic shock. That's when Dr. Erich Kiehl, an electrophysiology fellow from the Cleveland Clinic, and another doctor from North Carolina sprang into action. The men injected Spencer with an Epi-Pen four separate times and monitored her vitals over and over.To make matters even scarier, Spencer suffers from Eosinophilic granulomatosis with polyangiitis (EGPA), a rare auto immune disease. Because of the disease, she said her heart isn't in the best shape. She's spent the last several years in and out of the hospital undergoing several rounds of chemotherapy."When a person is going into anaphylactic shock it has to be taken seriously," she said. "Having Dr. Kiehl on board was so important. He was monitoring the heart completely." The plane made an emergency landing in Pittsburgh and Spencer was rushed to the hospital. She spent Saturday night in the ICU recovering from the reaction. Spencer said she's gone into anaphylactic shock in the past and has received treatment at the hospital, but the help she received from the men in the air was above and beyond."I would have to say the treatment I got on an aircraft was probably better," Spencer said.What's ironic is that Spencer was on the plane to Cleveland because on Monday she's scheduled to meet with doctors at the Cleveland Clinic in her search for answers about her rare disease.Spencer said she is eternally grateful for both doctors who helped her on the plane. She's already purchased plaques for both men as a way to say thank you."I am beyond thankful," she said. "I could have died up there." Spencer said she hopes the Cleveland Clinic can help her meet up with Dr. Kiehl while she's in town.  2428

A South Florida man is accused of leaving multiple voicemails saying he would blow up a mosque days before Ramadan. The way officials found him? They checked caller ID.Dustin Hughes, 26, is alleged to have called Jamaat Ul Muttaqeen Mosque in Pembroke Pines, Florida, four times in a week. Hughes made the first call on May 5, claiming he had planted a bomb in the mosque and planned on detonating it, according to a federal complaint."I planted a bomb in your temple, I'm gonna blow your f------ temple up you f----- Muslim piece of s---," Hughes allegedly said in the first voicemail.
