Two New Jersey Transit buses collided outside the Lincoln Tunnel in Manhattan on Friday, injuring more than 30 people, fire officials said.The crash happened outside the north tube on the tunnel's Manhattan side. Tyler Glenn, lead singer of the popular band Neon Trees, is recovering after suffering a stroke last week.In a post to Instagram on Monday, Glenn, 36, said that he woke up Thursday feeling "foggy and not seeing clearly out of my right eye."Glenn wrote that he held off going to the hospital to see if his condition would improve, but visited an ophthalmologist when he woke up the next morning feeling the same way.The doctor found a retinal edema in Glenn's eye and told him he had suffered a stroke. Glenn was admitted to Intermountain Medical Center for cardiology and neurological tests."I’m quite freaked out being 36, ostensibly healthy and having this happen." said Glenn. VENTURA COUNTY, Calif. – Authorities have released surveillance footage showing Naya Rivera before her disappearance and the 911 call that led to the search for the "Glee" star.Rivera is presumed dead after disappearing while boating with her 4-year-old son at Lake Piru in Southern California.The Ventura County Sheriff’s Office says Rivera rented a boat at the lake Wednesday afternoon and went for an excursion with her son. Thursday evening, officers released security camera footage of the two at the boat launch.Boaters tell authorities that they later found Rivera’s boat drifting in the northern portion of the lake with her son sleeping onboard. A woman called 911 and notified law enforcement of the situation."The emergency is: We have a missing person," an employee of the rental boat business said. "We found a little girl in one of the boats by herself, and the mom's nowhere to be found."The 911 caller initially said the boy was a girl, because of his long hair, KCBS reports.Rivera’s son told investigators that he and his mother had been swimming in the lake and he had gotten back on the boat, but his mom didn’t.Authorities say the child had a life vest on and an adult life vest was found on the boat. The child is healthy and with family.Since Rivera’s disappearance, authorities have been using helicopters, boat crews, divers and unmanned aerial vehicles to search the lake, but there’s been no sign of Rivera yet.Thursday evening, the sheriff’s office announced that the search for the actress has turned into a recovery mission and that she is presumed dead.“Investigators believe Rivera drowned in what appears to be a tragic accident,” the office wrote in a press release.Rivera is best known for her role as Santana on the Fox TV show “Glee.” She appeared in nearly every episode of the musical comedy drama since 2009. 1856

Twitter has suspended far-right conspiracy theorist Alex Jones from its platform for one week.The news was first shared by an InfoWars personality, who tweeted a screenshot of Jones' Twitter account -- indicating the company limited some of Jones' account features temporarily.A Twitter spokesperson confirmed the authenticity of the screenshot. The spokesperson said the content which prompted Twitter to suspend Jones was a video published Tuesday in which he said, "now is time to act on the enemy before they do a false flag."On Friday, one day after a CNN investigation found that Jones' Twitter accounts appeared to have repeatedly violated the company's rules, Twitter said the accounts belonging to Jones and his fringe media organization InfoWars would remain online.At the time, a Twitter spokesperson said the company concluded that of the more than a dozen tweets included in CNN's Thursday report, seven were found to have violated Twitter's rules. Twitter would have required those tweets to be deleted, if they were to have remained up.But after CNN's investigation was published, the tweets cited in it were almost immediately deleted from the social media website. Jones said on his program that he had instructed his staff to do so and "take the super high road," though he contested whether the tweets violated any Twitter rules.Twitter is one of the only major social media companies that has not scrubbed its platform of Jones or InfoWars. VALLEY CENTER (KGTV)- A former North County school security guard was sentenced Thursday after he was found guilty of sending inappropriate pictures to children online. Steven Lloyd Duncan was arrested by the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force in December 2018. Six months later he was sentenced to four years in state prison. Duncan was found guilty of four different charges related to child pornography. According to investigators, Duncan used social media platforms like Instagram to communicate with girls ranging in age of 10 to 14 years old. Investigators say he sent photos to underage children and received photos from children. During the investigation, 600 images and 350 videos of child pornography were found on Duncan’s phone and commuter. Duncan was a security guard at Valley Center High School for 11 years but the investigation shows the acts happened after his time working for the district. 928
