PALA INDIAN RESERVATION, Calif. (KGTV) --A woman was arrested after reportedly attacking three elderly victims with a baseball bat on the Pala Indian Reservation on Saturday.According to The San Diego County Sheriff’s Department, the three victims were visiting from Los Angeles and broke down on the side of Pala Mission Road after visiting the nearby casino.Deputies say all three victims are Cambodian and do not speak English. While on the side of the road the suspect, identified as Michelle Cagey Limon, 32, approached their vehicle and began striking it with a bat.When the two men inside the car got out, Limon hit one of them with the bat and punched the other in the face. The men ran away, leaving a female victim to take shelter inside the car.Deputies say the suspect then smashed out all the windows before also fleeing the scene. All three victims were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.Limon is being charged with three counts of elder abuse, assault with a deadly weapon and vandalism. During her arrest, deputies found a small drug lab inside the home, resulting in the arrest of Matthew Geyer, 37, on drug charges. 1164

Pilots coming into LAX airport in the Los Angeles area on Sunday reported something that sounded right out of a movie from nearby Hollywood. A person flying in a jetpack.Audio from LiveATC.net and shared by several local media show crews on both Southwest Airlines and American Airlines flights saw the person.Pilot: “Tower, American 1997, we just passed a guy in a jetpack”Tower: “American 1997, OK, thank you, were they to your left side or right side?”Pilot: “Off the left side at ah maybe 300-ah-300 yards or so, about our altitude”Tower: “OK American 1997”--Tower: “Southwest 6046”Southwest Pilot: “Tower, we just saw the guy pass by us”--Tower: “JetBlue 23 please caution a person with a jetpack reported 300 yards south of the LA final at about 3000 feet”Pilot: “JetBlue 23 we heard and are definitely looking”Tower: “Only in LA”--For reference, the tallest building in the US, One World Trade Center in New York, is 1,776 feet tall. Police asked for the public’s help Wednesday to identify a man they say tried to kidnap a 3-year-old from a grocery store in Brooklyn.The child was in a stroller and with his grandmother at the Thanksgiving Supermarket, at 2239-2247 86 St. in Gravesend, Monday around 3:49 p.m. when the incident occurred, police said.While the grandmother wasn't looking, police said a man grabbed the stroller and took off. 416

PHOENIX, Arizona — "I would go out by myself, I would hang out with whoever wanted to hang out but my real relationships were all failing," said Stephani Krise.That's because Krise says the only relationship she cared about was the one she had with alcohol.Constant partying after work, binge drinking, stints in the hospital and traditional rehab seemed hopeless."After I relapsed and I couldn't stay sober, I kind of had given up hope," said Krise.Another woman, Sarah Kennedy, says her long addiction to alcohol had affected friendships, her career and of course, her health.And like Krise, Kennedy was willing to try just about anything."Read about it on the web and just seemed too good to be true," said Kennedy.What she read about is the Sinclair method.Her first appointment she met with a doctor, got a prescription, took a pill, and later that day, had a drink, doctors’ orders of course.If the protocol seems like a radical idea, that's because it is."I mean I think it's time to change the way addiction treatment’s been for a long time," said Dr. Michael Yasinski.Dr. Yasinski is spear heading that effort at his Scottsdale office."It's founded in science and data which is why I liked it," said Dr. Yasinski.Every one of his patients gets to continue drinking as long as they take the anti-addiction drug Naltrexone one hour before they knock one back. The pill works to block pleasure sensors in the brain. He says combined with psycho-therapy the cravings go away."It's not seeing or enjoying alcohol like it normally does, so it starts to lose interest over time," said Dr. Yasinski."I came back two weeks later and he said 'how did you do,' and I said well I felt great cause I didn't have to change a thing," said Kennedy.But what did change, was the desire to drink. Both report drinking isn't a problem anymore. This coming as nearly 70 percent of traditional rehab patients relapse within the first year."To me, it’s like there is no relapse, you just keep going and keep improving," said Kennedy."I just feel so much better about myself and that's what makes the difference," said Krise.A true testament to what taking a chance can lead to.So why are we just hearing about this now? Traditionally alcoholism has been treated as a moral issue rather than a medical one.According to those in the treatment industry, most doctors just aren’t trained in this type of treatment.
