(KGTV) – A two-vehicle collision on an Oceanside street sent 10 people to the hospital late Sunday night.Oceanside police said the crash occurred at around 11:45 p.m. on state Route 76 at Douglas Drive.According to police, a silver sedan ran a red light and collided with a pickup truck with a family inside. The impact caused the truck to flip onto its side.A man, a pregnant woman and two children were trapped in the truck, while six people in the sedan were also trapped.It took emergency crews about 30 minutes to free the trapped people from both vehicles.The 10 people were taken to local hospitals with unspecified injuries. Fire personnel said at least six of the victims had “critical” injuries.The crash is under investigation, and police are trying to determine if the driver of the silver sedan was under the influence at the time of the collision. 887

OCEANSIDE, Calif. (KGTV) - A 7-year-old was found dead inside an Oceanside home Wednesday morning, leading to the arrest of her father, police say. According to Oceanside Police, the suspect's mother was called to the home on the 3500 block of Las Vegas Drive around 11 a.m. to pick up the suspect’s two children. When the woman went inside to pick up the children, she noticed blood on her son, Pedro Araujo, 27, police say. After leaving the home with one of the children, a 6-year-old girl, police say the woman called 911. Police arrived and, after searching through the home, found the body of the 7-year-old girl. Araujo was arrested and taken into custody, police say. "I'm shocked," said neighbor Tina Torres of the crime scene in her neighborhood. OCEANSIDE (KGTV) - Three women were injured Sunday evening in a shooting at an Oceanside shopping center, according to Oceanside Police.Police said three Hispanic women were in front of a clothing store in the 3700 block of Mission Boulevard, when three black men suddenly came up to them, shortly after 5 pm. Two of the three suspects shot at the three young women. All the victims suffered non-life-threatening gunshot wounds and went to the hospital. Waitress Angelica Camiro was on her break, treating her nephews to a cup of ice-cream from the shop next door. On their way back, she saw the commotion. "The only thing was, 'Save the kids!' because I don't know what was happening," Camiro said. She immediately ran back into the restaurant and told all the customers to get to the back of the store.
