A puggle is a baby echidna, an Australian relative of the platypus. They are sometimes called a spiny anteater.Echidna’s are one of only five species of mammals who lay eggs. Sydney started in a grape-sized, leathery egg that was carried in her mom’s pouch for ten days. Once hatched, a jelly bean-sized Sydney stayed in mom’s pouch nursing milk for awhile, before climbing out and staying close to the den.Those hollow spines start poking through at roughly 53 days old. The spines are a camouflage in the wild. Echidnas are found natively throughout New Guinea, Australia and Tasmania, in a wide range of habitats from snow-covered mountains to deserts. 797

A total of 30 have become sick, including 10 deaths, in connection with an adenovirus outbreak at a New Jersey health care facility, the state's Department of Health announced Monday.All but one case are children with weakened immune systems and other serious medical issues, many of whom require assistance to breathe and function, at the Wanaque Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Haskell, New Jersey.The confirmed cases became ill between September 26 and November 5, according to the health department. A new toilet is headed to the International Space Station this week, in addition to new foods to grow and beauty products.The million toilet system is known as the Universal Waste Management System. A Middle Tennessee woman visiting Gatlinburg with her family got quite a surprise when she found a bear outside their hotel.  Kim Vastola, of Watertown was in Gatlinburg for her son’s baseball tournament and was staying on the first floor of a Quality Inn.Vastola was startled when she heard people yelling about a bear. She went outside and captured video of the bear on a tree behind the hotel before he made his way around the building.  Vastola said the person at the front desk told her the "town bear" – named Robert – was lurking around but there was no need to be alarmed.Apparently, “Robert” lives in the area and roams when he comes out of hibernation.
