(CNN) -- Teen clothing retailer Forever 21 is preparing for a potential bankruptcy filing, according to several published reports.Forever 21, which is privately held, has more than 800 stores in 57 countries. And while many retailers have been paring back their network of stores in recent years, Forever 21 was adding stores as recently as 2016. It still has as many stores as it reported at that time.The ability to get out of leases and close stores at a lower cost is one of the advantages that the bankruptcy process affords to retailers.The company did not respond to requests for comment.Traditional brick-and-mortar retailers that specialize in selling clothes to teens and young adults have had a particularly hard time in recent years as younger buyers shift from mall visits to online purchases.Among the retailers in the segment that filed for bankruptcy and closed all their stores during the last five years are Wet Seal, American Apparel and Delia's. Aeropostale also filed for bankruptcy in 2016 but has kept some of its stores open.Many retailers have run into trouble due to being purchased by private equity firms or hedge funds. But Forever 21 is still owned by its founders, Do Won and Jin Sook Chang. A husband and wife team, the Changs immigrated from South Korea in 1981 and started the chain three years later with a single 900 square-foot store in Los Angeles and only ,000 in savings.Forbes lists the couple as having a net worth of .5 billion, and the privately-held company itself as having annual sales of .4 billion and 30,000 employees.Bloomberg reported in June that some members of Forever 21 management had asked some of its landlords to take a stake in the company as a way of coming up with funds it needs.Mall owner Simon Property Group, for which Forever 21 is a major tenant, took a stake in Aeropostale during its bankruptcy process. In July Simon Property CEO David Simon told investors it was open to working with other tenants facing trouble, without mentioning any by name."We'll work together on other distressed situations, and let's face it, there are some out there," Simon said. (CNN) -- The wildflower super bloom that brought magnificent swaths of color and hordes of lookie-loos to California is coming to an end.The city of Lake Elsinore on Monday declared, with more than a little relief, that the super bloom is nearly over, with the hillsides fading from orange to green as poppies drop their petals and begin to wither.The poppies are no longer visible from Interstate 15, so visitors now have to hike more than a mile to see what's left of the flower display, city officials said."We survived the poppy apocalypse!" the city posted on its Instagram page."The Super Bloom has been unlike any event we have ever experienced before," Mayor Steve Manos said in a news release. "The extreme beauty of our hillsides that drew attention from around the world is now diminishing quickly, and our residents sure are eager for things to get back to normal."The flowers could be seen from space, but thousands of people came to Walker Canyon in Lake Elsinore to get a closer look.The spectacle was so popular that authorities at one point restricted access to Walker Canyon because tourists were jamming traffic, crushing flowers and overflowing toilets.Just 4,658 visitors used the Walker Canyon shuttle last weekend, down from 12,062 the prior weekend, city officials said.Flower fans can still get their super bloom fix in other parts of the state, though.Blooms at the Antelope Valley California Poppy Reserve, in Los Angeles County, are expected to continue through April, officials there said.They urged visitors to stay on the trails to avoid crushing the delicate flowers and to leave dogs, bikes and drones at home.A couple last month landed a helicopter in the reserve to skip the lines. Gavin Newsom, saying he overstepped his authority when requiring all California registered voters receive a mail-in ballot for the 2020 election.Sutter County Judge Sarah Heckman said Friday that Gov. Newsom did not have the authority to amend or change the state's law through an executive order, which mandated all registered voters get a mail-in ballot and allowed counties to reduce the number of polling locations if in-person voting is offered ahead of Nov. 3, according to court documents.The ruling doesn't affect the results of the 2020 election.Newsom's executive order was made as part of the California Emergency Services Act, or CESA. The act gives the governor special powers during a public emergency.The ruling stemmed from a lawsuit by Assembly members James Gallagher (R-Yuba City) and Kevin Kiley (R-Rocklin), who claimed Newsom didn't have the authority to make the order. California's legislature later passed a similar law to the order.Kiley posted the judge's ruling online, in which the judge wrote, "Executive Order N-67-20 issued by the Governor on June 3, 2020 is void as an unconstitutional exercise of legislative power and shall be of no further force or effect. The California Emergency Services Act (CA Government Code §8550 et seq.) does not authorize or empower the Governor of the State of California to amend statutory law or make new statutory law, which is exclusively legislative function not delegated to the Governor under the CESA."The judge's ruling also put an injunction in place against Newsom, prohibiting him from changing any laws under CESA, according to the documents. 1687

(CNN) -- Two Disney employees were arrested in a child pornography sting orchestrated by the Polk County Sheriff's Office in Florida.They were among 17 men nabbed in an undercover sting operation, according to a press release from the agency.Brett Kinney, 40, of Lake Alfred, Florida, told investigators he was a guest experience manager at Disney World, according to the release. Kinney was arrested and charged with one count of promotion of child pornography and 24 counts of possession of child pornography-enhanced, the release said.A Disney spokesperson told CNN by phone that Kinney was no longer employed with the company following his arrest in the sting.In the release, the sheriff's office alleges that Kinney would search online for images of boys from toddlers to 10 years old. He was caught during a peer- to -peer investigation of alleged child pornography.When confronted by investigators, Kinney told them that he had an addiction to child pornography and had been viewing it for 22 years, according to the release.A second Disney employee, Donald Durr Jr., was also arrested by the Polk County Sheriff's Office. Durr, 52, of Davenport, Florida, told investigators he was a custodial worker at Walt Disney Resorts. He was arrested and charged with eight counts of possession of child pornography and one count of promotion of sexual performance by a child.Durr is on unpaid leave, a Disney spokesperson told CNN.Investigators discovered an electronic tablet with three images of child pornography and a DVD created by Durr nine years ago showing explicit images of a child, the sheriff's press release said.Durr described himself during an interview with detectives as "a pervert, but not a monster," according to the release.CNN has reached out to both men for responses to the charges they face but has not yet heard back.
