Delta Airlines has added more than 400 people to its “no-fly” list during the pandemic for refusing to comply with the airline’s mask policy, according to a company memo obtained by CNN.“As of this week, we’ve added 460 people to our no-fly list for refusing to comply with our mask requirement,” Delta’s CEO, Ed Bastian, reportedly wrote in the message to employees.This is an increase of nearly 200 people in the last few months. In July, Delta said they had banned around 240 passengers since the pandemic began.Major airlines require masks or facial coverings on all flights and many ask for them to be worn at the gate and during checkin at the airport.In June, airlines agreed to ban customers from future flights for refusing to wear masks, however CNN reports the airlines are not sharing information about the passengers they have banned. 855

Kim Reynolds has signed an executive order granting convicted felons the right to vote, ending Iowa’s place as the only remaining state to broadly deny voting rights to felons.The Republican governor signed the order Wednesday after promising in June that she would take such action.Reynolds says she’ll continue to press the Legislature to pass a constitutional amendment restoring felon voting rights, which couldn't be reversed by a future governor. She proposed that last year but couldn’t get Republican state senators to support it.The executive order restores the right to vote for Iowans who have already completed their felony sentences. It requires residents to complete any prison, probation, parole, or special sentence.The order excludes automatic restoration for more serious crimes, such as murder, requiring those people to seek individual restoration but does not require repayment of victim restitution before they could vote."Today we take a significant step forward in acknowledging the importance of redemption, second chances and the need to address inequalities in our justice system,” said Reynolds. “The right to vote is the cornerstone of society and the free republic in which we live. When someone serves their sentence, they should have their right to vote restored automatically. We’re going to continue to advocate for a constitutional amendment and make this major milestone permanent. DEL MAR, Calif. (KGTV) - Nine doctors and medical professionals are facing federal drug charges in connection to DEA illegal opioid prescription investigation. Agents raided medical officers across Southern California for "Operation Hypocritical Oath," which targeted doctors, physician assistants, nurse practitioners and clinic operators in California and Nevada. "A stern message to corrupt doctors who seek to profit from spreading addiction," said U.S Attorney Nick Hanna. Among those arrested, Monica Ann Berlin of Del Mar. The Department of Justice says the 41-year-old stole a doctor’s signature stamp and prescription pads to write fraudulent prescriptions.Berlin forged at least 44 prescriptions for controlled substances from April 2015 to 2017, according to the DOJ. According to the criminal filed against her, Berlin sent text messages to her buyer using coded language by describing the drugs as “candies" and “Tic Tacs.”Investigators say the bogus scrips were filed at pharmacies in Rancho Santa Fe and Beverly Hills. The DOJ says 15 people died because of drugs related to some of the practitioners in this investigation and this epidemic remains their top issue. Berlin was released on a million bond and is due back in federal court next month. 1274
