(KGTV) - As the Valley Fire nears containment and evacuees can return home, many are faced with handling the damage and rebuilding, so San Diego County is stepping in to provide resources. Representatives from state and local agencies, county works, insurance, the DMV, and more are all present at the resource event, ready to help with the next steps.“Usually it’s, 'where do I start?' She lost her mobile home and multiple animals in the Valley Fire.“It’s just overwhelming. I walked the property yesterday completely and there’s nothing that’s going to be salvaged,” said Menzies.Menzies said she has a long list of tasks that need to be done, like figuring out if she can bring in a new mobile home, getting water while her well is down, and getting new paperwork, like her husband’s death certificate. Dozens of people are gathering outside of the TCF Center in Downtown Detroit, trying to get inside to challenge votes which are being counted.People outside of the center say they are not being let in to challenge the votes. The Detroit Health Department said TCF Center is at capacity and that's what police are enforcing.Republicans are hoping to challenge the vote and claimed they were unfairly being kept outside where the absentee ballots are being counted. Looking at sales from mid-March through early August, all candy sales are up 3.8 percent during this time period. EL CAJON, Calif. (KGTV) -- El Cajon could become the first city in San Diego County to ban the sale of vaping products. That comes as the CDC investigated hundreds of vaping-related illness. In total, there have been 22 vaping-related deaths confirmed across the U.S., including two in California. Public health officials have been asking people to stop vaping until they get answers. Tuesday, the City Council will vote to decide if vaping will be banned in the city of El Cajon. Some councilmembers say they want a complete ban on the sale of vaping products and flavored juices. Investigators still haven’t found the root cause of the illnesses, but did find that 78 percent of people injured reported using THC containing products. 744
