SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Police are seeking the public's help identifying two armed robbery suspects they say hit a Carmel Valley gas station last month.A man entered the Shell gas station located at 3861 Valley Centre Drive just after 11 p.m. on Oct. 25, San Diego Police (SDPD) said in a release. The man asked the station clerk to use the bathroom and when he returned, he was armed with a machete and wearing a mask.The man demanded money from the cash register and the clerk complied, SDPD said.The man then fled westbound from the gas station.Police said the clerk noticed a woman driving a gold-colored pickup truck, believed to be a Toyota Tacoma with an extended cab, toward the man as he was running away. The clerk told police he had recognized the man and woman inside the store a few days prior to the robbery.The man described as white, in his late 20s to mid-30s, about 5-foot-7, and with medium build. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with a white California bear on the front, blue jeans, a dark grey or blue baseball cap with "Ford" on it, and blue Keds shoes.He was also carrying a green backpack and has a wraparound band-style tattoo on his left arm.The woman was described as white, in her 40s, with long dark hair, and was last seen wearing a black shirt and black pants.Anyone with information is asked to call SDPD's robbery unit at 619-531-2299 or Crime Stoppers at 888-580-8477. 1435

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Point Loma High School students welcomed gender-neutral homecoming royalty this week, eliminating the traditional roles of king and queen.At Friday night’s homecoming game, two senior boys were selected as kings. Most students at Point Loma High School said they support the change.Associated Student Body president Ila Komasa told 10News previous homecoming kings and queens were couples. This year, she wanted to make it more individualized. “We didn’t believe the couple aspect applied to what homecoming court meant to us and what it should represent for the students," Komasa said.Komasa was hopeful students would be given the opportunity to vote for anyone they wanted.“We made the decision to individually elect and nominate two students from each grade level as homecoming court and then for seniors, homecoming royalty.” It’s an effort to make homecoming more inclusive, no longer focusing on one’s high school relationship status, rather the impact made on peers. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Police Wednesday identified the Border Patrol agents and suspect they say knocked an agent off his ATV before being shot.Agents Micah Owens and Brandon Brandt reportedly shot the suspect, Francisco Javier Gutierrez-Alvarado, during the incident.Alvarado was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries and no agents were seriously injured, police say.RELATED: Man shot by Border Patrol after knocking agent off ATV with rock, authorities sayDuring an initial investigation, authorities learned that a Border Patrol agent was on patrol on an ATV in the area of Spooner’s Mesa when he was hit with a rock and knocked off the vehicle by Alvarado.The suspect rode away on the ATV and was chased by several other agents before losing control and crashing into a fence.During the chase, both agents reportedly shot at Alvarado, striking him at least once. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Police are asking for the public’s help identifying several suspects they say robbed a man before threatening him with a gun.The robbery happened on August 11 around 5:24 p.m. near the Forever 21 at Fashion Valley Mall.Police say the two suspects approached a 27-year-old and asked to use his iPhone before grabbing it and running away.When the victim ran after both men, the second suspect pulled a gun out of his waistband and told the victim he “did not want any of this.”RELATED: 0,000 stolen cello returned to ownerFearing he would be shot, the victim stopped chasing the suspects, who were last seen running toward Friars Road. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Police are searching for a mystery shooter that appears to using moving vehicles for target practice on a road in La Jolla.On Thursday just past 10 p.m. on La Jolla Parkway, Judy Chance was in her minivan running errands. It happened about a quarter mile from the fire station."Bang, bang, bang, bang. Basically all at once," said Chance.Her minivan was under attack."Enough to caused me to jerk back. When I looked, I saw circles in my windshield, like target practice," said Chance.On the windshield were at least six circles. Whatever caused them cracked but didn't puncture the glass."I was shocked. I was scared but had to regain composure as I was driving," said Chance.Chance pulled over and called police, feeling frightened, but grateful."Luckily I was going slow. I could have gone off the road. Glad my side window was closed," said Chance.Chance was not the only victim. Just minutes prior, in the same location, a couple driving a Mercedes says they heard a loud blast and saw a flash, before their windshield was pelted with shots. Some eight circles were found on their windshield. Was it a BB or pellet gun? One gun expert told 10news the flash and grouping may point to a shotgun, possibly loaded with birdshot. Chance says there were no vehicles around them, so the shooter may have been standing on the side of the road.Detectives say they don't have any suspect description.
