The New York attorney general is investigating the parent company of MoviePass, a source familiar with the probe confirmed to CNN Business.The state is looking into whether Helios and Matheson (HMNY) misled investors about its finances, the source said. The investigation is being conducted under New York's Martin Act, an anti-fraud and investor protection law. The existence of the probe was first reported Wednesday by CNBC.The movie subscription service exploded in popularity last year when it began offering customers the ability to watch as many movies in theaters as they wanted for per month. But that business model proved unsustainable, and the company has since changed its subscription plans and pricing as well as the number of movies it makes available to its customers.As the company's troubles worsened this year, its stock price also cratered.Helios and Matheson stock was trading at an all-time high of nearly a share in October 2017. The Ohio State University announced on Friday that its investigation into coach Urban Meyer's handling of domestic violence allegations involving Meyer's assistant coach Zach Smith will conclude on Sunday, as scheduled. A six-person review board investigating the matter will then draft a report, which will be discussed at a closed-door meeting of the university's board of trustees. Following the meeting, which will likely take place sometime next week, university president Michael Drake could announce possible sanctions. Meyer was placed on paid administrative leave on Aug. 1 after a report published by former ESPN reporter Brett McMurphy claimed Meyer knew that Smith's wife had accused her husband of assaulting her. McMurphy also published photos of the woman which included a number of bruises. Those photos had previously been shared with Meyer's wife Shelley, who is also an employee of Ohio State. On Aug. 3, two days after he was suspended by OSU, Meyer released a statement admitting that he had lied to reporters about his knowledge of the allegations but claimed that he had followed proper protocol in reporting the incident to university officials. The alleged incident took place in 2015, while Smith was a wide receiver coach for Ohio State. Smith was not charged for the possible incident and did not face any punishment from Ohio State, according to public records obtained by Scripps National.Smith was fired in July when McMurphy had uncovered that Smith's wife had placed a protection order against her now ex-husband.  1600

The Philadelphia Police Department has released officer-worn body camera footage and 911 calls from an October shooting that led to the death of Walter Wallace, Jr.ABC News reports that the release maks the first time in the department's history that it has released body camera footage.Wallace was shot and killed by police on Oct. 26. Police at the time said they were responding to reports of a man with a weapon and that Wallace did not respond to orders to drop a knife he was holding.According to WPVI-TV, Philadelphia police received three 911 calls regarding the incident. The first came from a neighbor who reported that a fight next door. The other two calls came from family members, who asked for help in dealing with Wallace.Bodycam footage from the incident shows officers Wallace leaving a house and walking toward the street holding a knife. Police repeatedly yelled at Wallace to drop his knife and ask others in the area to back away.Despite repeated warnings to drop his weapon, the video shows Wallace circling a parked car and walking toward officers. Police fired 14 shots toward Wallace, though the department has not confirmed how many of those shots struck Wallace.Wallace was later transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.According to WPVI, officers are the scene were not armed with less-lethal weapons, like stun guns. Police Commissioner Danielle Outlaw said Wednesday that the department has sought funding to equip more officers with stun guns.Wallace's death sparked a few days of protests in Philadelphia. The Navy’s newest, most high-tech nuclear submarines use at least one piece of technology that millions of children use every day — a video game controller.According to The Virginian-Pilot in Norfolk, Virginia, the Navy is replacing traditional periscopes on its Virginia-class nuclear submarines with high resolution cameras that will be controlled with Xbox 360 controllers.According to the Virginian-Pilot, the cameras were originally designed to be controlled with a “helicopter-style” joystick. That design was quickly dropped after officials got feedback from a group of Navy junior officers.Lt. j.g. Kyle Leonard, the assistant weapons officer on the USS John Warner — one of the Virginia-class submarines based in Norfolk — told the Virginian-Pilot that many sailors found the joystick clunky to hold and hard to use.The solution?
