(KGTV) -- Four juveniles were taken into custody early Wednesday morning after police said they sprayed a 7-Eleven clerk with a fire extinguisher and then proceeded to steal several items from the store.San Diego police said the incident happened at around 3:30 a.m. at a store on Cottonwood Road, near San Ysidro Boulevard, in San Ysidro.According to police, four juveniles entered the store and sprayed the clerk with a fire extinguisher before grabbing items such as alcohol and food.Officers responding to the incident spotted the group and pursued them on foot. The juveniles were eventually caught and taken into custody.Officers recovered the fire extinguisher and some of the items that were taken down the street from the store. 764

(KGTV) — Palomar Community College President Dr. Joi Lin Blake will resign this summer, after facing criticism over a recent budget report warning of the district's fiscal instability.This week the district's Governing Board approved the agreement for Blake to resign, which will take effect June 30. Blake was placed on leave following the Fiscal Crisis Management Assistance Team (FCMAT) report.Palomar Vice President Jack Kahn will serve at Acting Superintendent and President. (KGTV) - Over 70 migrants from the central American caravan are now in CPB custody, making their cases for asylum, according to attorneys working with them in Tijuana. The attorneys say 49 people were taken into custody on Wednesday, starting the process that could last months. Ultimately, it will be up to an immigration judge to decide if their claims are legitimate.  There are three different groups seeking asylum. (KGTV) - The captain of the sister ship to the one that caught fire off the coast of Santa Barbara, killing at least 25, is sticking up for its crew.Ian Higgins is the captain of the Vision, a sister ship nearly identical to the Conception, which caught fire near Santa Cruz island Monday morning. Higgins spoke to 10News after media reports calling the safety protocol of the Conception into question."That vessel is inspected by the Coast Guard annually and also every five years for a more complete inspection," said Higgins, who works for Truth Aquatics.
