Carne asada is coming back to Chipotle’s menu. Citing strict sourcing standards, Chipotle says the meat option will only be around for a limited time.Between September 24 and 27, carne asada will only be available on digital orders. It will be available in restaurants on September 28.Chipotle offered the protein option for a few months at the end of 2019 and into 2020. They report it was one of their fastest-selling proteins, with more than 10 million servings. CHAFFEE COUNTY, Colo. — Almost three weeks after a fatal crash that sent a golden-doodle running near Pueblo, Colo., a family has him back in their arms.The family, who was visiting from Wichita, Kansas, had been driving along the edge of a mountain west of Pueblo on Aug. 7, when their vehicle slid off the edge and tumbled 600 feet down an incline, according to the Associated Press. The crash killed Jennifer Orr and seriously injured her 21-year-old daughter, Samantha. The 1-year-old family golden-doodle, Bentley, was thrown from the vehicle and ran away from the crash.In the days after the crash, the family created and actively posted on a Facebook page Bring Bentley Home to try to find the dog. When Samantha Orr was released from the hospital, she returned to the crash site to search for Bentley. Her family posted their thanks and pleas for help every few days on the Facebook page.  On Saturday evening, Samantha Orr posted an update she had been waiting for for 19 days.  In the video, she’s tear-eyed and hugging Bentley.“My heart is BURSTING,” she wrote on Facebook. “Thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone who shared, liked, handed out flyers, spread the word, or sent kind words, or any of the millions of ways people have shown their kindness since the accident. The world has so many amazing people in it, I am SO unbelievably grateful.”Bentley was found early Saturday after Orr and others returned to the site.  They spotted him and encouraged him to walk over with food and a toy, according to the AP. He was reluctant at first, but Orr said they slowly moved toward each other. CAMP PENDLETON (CNS) - A man was killed on Interstate 5 near Camp Pendleton Saturday morning when his Chevrolet Suburban overturned, landed on the right side of the freeway and was struck by a second car.The deadly sequence of events happened a little before 3 a.m. on the northbound side of I-5 past Basilone Road, near San Onofre State Beach and not far from the Orange County line.A 25-year-old San Clemente man was behind the wheel of the Suburban when it left the road and went up an embankment before flipping over and coming to rest on the right shoulder, California Highway Patrol Officer Mark Latulippe said.Shortly afterward, a Nissan Rouge driven by a 46-year-old Tijuana man approached the wreck and struck the disabled Suburban, Latulippe said.Passing drivers stopped to assist the Suburban driver, who was found unresponsive outside his car on the right shoulder.It's unclear if he exited the SUV after the initial crash, or was thrown from it during the second collision, Latulippe said.Emergency personnel from the Camp Pendleton Fire Department headed to the crash, but the Suburban driver died at the scene, Latulippe said. The man's name was not immediately released.No information on the condition of the Rogue driver was available.Drugs and alcohol were not considered to be factors in the crash, Latulippe said.Northbound lanes of I-5 were congested through the area for about an hour after the crash while officials investigated. 1460

(KGTV) - After Monday's arrest in the death of a Carlsbad woman found on a hiking trail, prosecutors must now decide whether to charge the teenage suspect as an adult.A 17-year-old teen from Carlsbad was booked on murder charges weeks after Lisa Thorborg, 68, was found stabbed to death along Hosp Grove Trail.Investigators tell ABC 10News police work led them to the teenager, before DNA evidence confirmed their suspicions. Former District Attorney turned criminal defense attorney Paul Pfingst says prosecutors must now decide whether the accused should be tried as an adult."An adult for a first-degree murder case can receive a 25 years-to-life sentence. A juvenile can only be kept until the age of 25," said Pfingst.A decade ago, Pfingst represented Heather D'Aoust. At the age of 14, she killed her mother with a claw hammer. D'Aoust was charged as an adult, pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 16 years to life.Pfingst says unlike in that case -- thanks to new state laws -- if prosecutors do charge the 17-year-old as an adult in the Carlsbad case, a judge will have the final say."The more dangerous that person is, they most likely they are to be charged as an adult," said Pfingst.Pfingst says the biggest factor is the crime itself."Is the act is such that it demonstrates such a wanton disregard for life and for people around them that the person needs too be confined?" said Pfingst.Pfingst says the background of the suspect will heavily scrutinized."Including whether they've been involved with gang activity, prior acts of violence, prior acts of rebellion," said Pfingst.Police in the Carlsbad case declined to say if the teen has a criminal history. Pfingst says the extensive background check is likely underway as prosecutors weigh their decision."What does the protection of community protection require? One COVID-19 testing rolling out in the fall looks to achieve all three and maybe even one day mail the tests straight to your home.“Involves just a nasal swab so not a nasopharyngeal swab, just around the rim of the inside of the nose rather than tickling the brain,” said Dr. Joseph Petrosino.The test costs and lets you know if you’ve got the coronavirus within 15 minutes.So far it’s reporting an accuracy rate in clinical labs of 97%.Dr. Petrosino, a molecular virologist with Baylor College of Medicine, took an independent look at the Binax Now ABBOT Rapid test rolling out in October.He says they’re reliable, easy to use, and less vulnerable to supply chain interruptions.“The test is just made out of cardboard and paper, it doesn’t rely on a lot of supply chain plastics or other needs that could potentially hold things up,” said Dr. Petrosino.However, antigen tests like these have been found to produce more false negatives than lab-based tests.Dr. Petrosino says the key is the affordability that would allow large numbers of people at schools and businesses to get tested more frequently, isolating potential outbreaks.“What’ll happen is you’ll have a band that appears if you’re positive as well as a band that relates to whether or not the test worked itself,” said Dr. Petrosino.There’s also a free app that works in conjunction with the test.It allows people to display their results in places where negative tests may eventually be needed for entry, such as schools, workplaces, or large events.Last week, President Donald Trump said the federal government will buy 150 million of the tests to distribute across the country.Fifty million are expected to be available to purchase in October, but folks interested will need to get them at a medical clinic, at least for now.“Currently, you can’t get this test directly, but in the future, you may be able to,” said Dr. Petrosino.This story was first published by Cameron Polom at KNXV in Phoenix, Arizona. 2015
