(KGTV) - More than 150 Coachella concert-goers had to face the music after fraudulently using disabled parking placards or parking spaces.Indio Police checked nearly 2,000 placards during the two-weekend run of Coachella Valley Music Festival. A 4-year-old girl was left alone inside a minivan overnight in a Milwaukee tow lot, Public Works Commissioner nominee Jeff Polenske said Tuesday at a news conference. Late Monday night, an impaired female driver was pulled over and arrested for an OWI when the vehicle was towed. Officers removed a 10-month-old child from the vehicle, but neglected to remove a 4-year-old girl from the backseat.Polenske said it wasn't until a tow lot employee heard the young girl crying that the girl was removed. Officials towed the car to the lot on around 12:30 a.m. The child was not discovered until around 8:30 a.m. Upon discovery, the child was checked by fire officials for immediate harm and later transported to the hospital for further review. Data from local meteorologists shows temperatures dipped as low as 19 degrees Monday night while the child was in the car.Milwaukee Public Works is reviewing more on the situation.   976

(KGTV) — U.S. Navy veteran Michael White has been freed by Iran and left the country on Swiss government aircraft.White was jailed in Iran in 2018 while visiting a woman he had met online and fallen in love with, the Associated Press reported. He was sentenced to 10 years in prison after being convicted of insulting Iran's supreme leader and posting private information online.Secretary of State Mike Pompeo issued a statement, reading in part that White would be reunited with his family."He is now on his way back to the United States, where we look forward to reuniting him with his family. I commend U.S. Special Representative for Iran Brian Hook for negotiating Mr. White’s release with the Iranians. (KGTV) -- Summer is nearly here, and the County is preparing for pests. On Wednesday, the first rounds of larvicide will be dropped on 48 rivers, streams ponds and waterways. In previous years, crews sprayed neighborhoods by hand to fight mosquito-borne illnesses like Zika and West Nile viruses. This year, the County will use a helicopter to drop the batches or solid, granular larvicide on the waterways that cannot be treated by hand.The drops will take place about once each month of mosquito season (April to October). Mosquito larvae that ingest the larvicide will be killed, but the larvicide is not harmful to people or pets. The list of waterways equals just over 1,000 acres from Chula Vista to Fallbrook and from Oceanside to Lakeside, according to the County News Center. Protect yourself from mosquitos 864
