INDIANAPOLIS -- Ninety minutes after Tonya Holtgrave dropped her dog, Titan, off at Barkefellers on the west side, the doggy daycare called to tell her that Titan appeared to be injured.Holtgrave said they told her that they weren't sure what happened, but she needed to take him to a veterinary hospital immediately."I was just shocked when they called me and said he was hurt, and it's kind of been a shock ever since," she said.According to medical records, Titan fractured his tibia in both legs."They let my dog get hurt," Holtgrave said "That's negligence on their part, not mine."She said the vets told her Titan will need an expensive surgery. She wants the company to help pay for it."I just can't afford that right now, ,000 for surgery," Holtgrave said. "I am already out over ,000 just in all of these vet bills and stuff, and his medicine."Barkefellers said they checked their surveillance cameras and did not see any point where the dog might have gotten injured under their care. Holtgrave said she had Titan's vet call the facility. I've had the dog for 10 years," said Lorrie Snowden, dog's owner.Snowden came home from the store on Wednesday afternoon to find Petta lying outside her door, bleeding from multiple stab wounds. "While I was gone, somebody broke into my house and attacked my dog, and then took my dog and attacked her somewhere else," said Snowden.The cockapoo was stabbed as many as 15 times. Somehow Petta found her way home."She had to crawl back and let her owner know something was wrong," said Snowden.She took Petta to an emergency vet clinic, but there was nothing they could do."They had to put her down. Investigators spoke to hundreds of people in the search for clues about Mollie Tibbetts' disappearance, but weeks after she vanished it was security camera footage that finally gave them a first glimpse of the man accused of killing her.The 20-year-old student went missing on July 18 in Brooklyn, Iowa, after going for a jog. Authorities charged Cristhian Bahena Rivera, 24, with first-degree murder charges on Tuesday.Here's how investigators arrested Rivera and how they found a body believed to be that of Tibbetts.They were caught on home surveillanceHer whole family, her hometown and dozens of investigators joined forces looking for the University of Iowa student. They put Tibbetts' photo on yard signs, store windows and thousands of shirts around Brooklyn, a small community an hour east of Des Moines.As the weeks passed, a reward for information on her whereabouts kept growing and reached nearly 0,000. Investigators got thousands of tips, rolled out an interactive website to help jog the public's memory, and even looked into Tibbetts' data from a fitness tracker.About a week or two ago, a neighbor gave police his security cameras.They watched the footage for hours before they could spot Tibbetts, said Rick Rahn, a special agent in charge at the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation.The footage showed her running through an area east of Brooklyn and a car moving close to her. And then, she took off running and he, in turn, chased her down," Rahn said during a news conference on Tuesday.Rivera says that at some point, he panicked, got mad and doesn't remember what happened next, according to the affidavit.The next thing he remembers is being at an intersection in rural Poweshiek County and driving to a cornfield, court documents say.When he noticed an earpiece from headphones on his lap, he realized he had put the woman in the trunk of his car.
