President Donald Trump expressed skepticism Tuesday over the ability to legally download plans for 3-D printed guns, saying he's spoken with the National Rifle Association about them because the technology "doesn't seem to make much sense!"The President's comments come one day before the government will allow online plans to be posted on the web following a settlement with gun-rights activists."I am looking into 3-D Plastic Guns being sold to the public. Already spoke to NRA, doesn't seem to make much sense!" the President tweeted Tuesday, without offering further details about what he'll do about the weapons. 625

After searching several locations in Los Angeles County, authorities found several stolen guns related to the case.Daron is currently facing 10 felony counts of burglary while Daren faces five felony counts of burglary. Turner’s mother, girlfriend and uncle also have possible connections to the case.Their cases have been submitted to the District Attorney’s office, authorities say. Politicians around the world have called for a United Nations probe into a Chinese government birth control campaign targeting largely Muslim minorities in the far western region of Xinjiang, even as Beijing said it treats all ethnicities equally under the law. They were referring to an Associated Press investigation published this week that found the Chinese government is taking draconian measures to slash birth rates among Uighurs and other minorities, while encouraging some of the country’s Han majority to have more children.A state-orchestrated campaign is slashing births among the minority Uighurs of China's far west Xinjiang region with brutal efficiency. The government is forcing IUDs, abortions and sterilizations on largely Muslim minorities, and punishing parents who violate family planning measures by detaining them in camps and prisons. As a result, birth rates in heavily Uighur regions have plunged over 60% in just three years. Authorities say they’re trying to cut down on poverty and extremism, but outside experts call it an extraordinary experiment in state-led eugenics aimed at forcibly assimilating Muslim minorities. 1158
President Donald Trump said in an interview on Monday that he would likely announce his replacement for Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg's seat on "Friday or Saturday."Trump said in an interview on "Fox & Friends" that he would wait until funeral services for Ginsburg on "Thursday or Friday" were held before announcing his nomination."We want to pay respect (for Ginsburg)," Trump said.Later on Monday, the Supreme Court announced that Ginsburg would lie in repose at the Supreme Court Building in Washington on Wednesday and Thursday. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi later announced that Ginsburg would lie in state in Captiol Building on Friday. In a press release, the Supreme Court said that Ginsburg would be buried next week in Arlington National Ceremony in a private ceremony. Should Trump hold to his schedule of announcing a nominee on Friday or Saturday, Ginsburg will not yet have been laid to rest.Trump also said he's considering "four or five," judges for nomination. He's already said he would nominate a woman and was asked specifically about Justice Barbara Lagoa, a U.S. Circuit Judge.Trump called Lagoa "excellent," noting that she's from Florida."We love Florida," Trump said.Trump also reiterated his call for Ginsburg's seat to be filled before the 2020 Election."I think the final vote should be taken, frankly, before the election...plenty of time for that," Trump said. "I think it should go very quickly."Monday marked 43 days until the 2020 election. According to the Congressional Research Service in 2018, it takes the Senate an average of 69 days for a Supreme Court nominee to get to a vote.Trump was also asked to square the Republicans' decision in 2016 to block President Barack Obama's Supreme Court justice nominee, Merrick Garland, ahead of the presidential election."I think Merrick Garland is an outstanding judge. He is liberal, that's OK," Trump said. "That's an election of a different kind. We had the Senate. When you have the Senate, when you have the votes, you can kind of do what you want." 2056
President Donald Trump said Monday that "our country is being stolen" due to an influx of illegal immigration, blaming Democrats for weak border protection policies."Border Patrol Agents (and ICE) are GREAT, but the weak Dem laws don't allow them to do their job. Act now Congress, our country is being stolen!" Trump tweeted."Mexico has the absolute power not to let these large 'Caravans' of people enter their country," he in another tweet. "They must stop them at their Northern Border, which they can do because their border laws work, not allow them to pass through into our country, which has no effective border laws."Trump's comments were followed by a call to action: Congress must "use the nuclear option if necessary" -- using a Senate maneuver to lower the threshold to break a filibuster from 60 votes to 51, weaking the power of the minority party -- to pass border security legislation. The President's comments on Monday come a day after he tweeted "NO MORE DACA DEAL," indicating that he wouldn't move forward on negotiations with the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, the Obama-era program Trump moved to in September but has been kept alive in the courts. In another tweet Monday morning, Trump declared: "DACA is dead because the Democrats didn't care or act, and now everyone wants to get onto the DACA bandwagon.""No longer works," he continued. "Must build Wall and secure our borders with proper Border legislation. Democrats want No Borders, hence drugs and crime!" 1503
