SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — A homeowner woke up in her Del Cerro home and realized a burglar had been in her room, stealing from her.Just off College Avenue, Kathleen Wavra was sleeping in last Monday morning. Feeling sick, she had taken medication with a sleep aid. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Two new charges have been filed in the case against a La Jolla restaurant owner accused of sexually assaulting multiple women.Authorities say five victims have now come forward claiming Daniel Dorado, 59, sexually assaulted them.The fifth victim came forward after last week’s arraignment, telling the San Diego Police Department about an incident that happened in 2014.RELATED: La Jolla restaurant owner accused of sexual assault makes first court appearance?Prosecutors say the assaults took place over a nine-year period beginning in 2009 and ending in January of 2018.Dorado pleaded not guilty earlier in April to 14 counts brought against him, including rape of an unconscious person.RELATED: Woman claims she was drugged during job interviewDorado was arrested in March. With rising rents and mortgage rates increasing, experts say that trend is about to get worse.“On November 5 my family and I are going to be homeless because it’s very hard to find places,” said Margot Velez.Velez is being evicted from her apartment, the complex she’s called home for nearly a decade. According to Curry’s website, “After receiving an UNLAWFUL DETAINER [sic], the tenant/occupant must respond timely or lose the case. If you are personally served, you have only five calendar days to respond. If someone is served for you, you may have an additional 10 days. Weekends are counted but the last day to respond cannot land on a weekend (or holiday). If it does, the 'last day' carries over to the next business day. There are many defenses which can be raised.”Curry said tenants should know their rights and try to talk with the landlord ahead of time. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Too many people are on the waiting list for a second chance at life.San Diego's organ donation group, Lifesharing, says the city and country are facing an organ shortage. In San Diego alone more than 2,000 people are on the waiting list. "There's never going to be enough organs but more people need to talk about organ donation so there can be more organs," said Lisa Stocks, Lifesharing Executive Director.On Friday, transplant recipients gathered to raise awareness about the issue and celebrate their new birthdays made possible because of organ donation.People can register to become donors on the Lifesharing website or at the DMV.You can also become a living donor by giving someone one of your kidneys. 742
