A public housing building in Cleveland Heights, Ohio has become a target for at least one scammer posing as a nurse and offering free cancer screenings. But instead of giving people help, she walks away with personal information.One victim, Azzizat Crumble said she was flipping through the channels on Saturday when she heard a knock on the door."Opened the door and she said she was from Stephanie Tubbs' and they were going around doing cancer screenings," Crumble said.The woman was dressed in scrubs and even offering an incentive.  "If we were to agree to it, we would get a 0 gift card to Walmart in the mail," Crumble said.Crumble said it's not uncommon to see nurses in her assisted living building, so she agreed."She was like, 'Before we do it, I am going to need to see your ID and Medicaid card.' So I went and got it and she wrote the information down in a notebook," Crumble recalled.The woman then proceeded to swab Crumble's cheeks and was on her way within 10 minutes."And then she was like, 'Okay, well you will receive your card within five to seven business days," said Crumble.Crumble said she didn't think anything of it until she saw a sign on a bulletin board in the hallway of her complex. "Scam alert: If anyone comes to your door asking for your personal information, call the police immediately," Crumble said the sign read.Crumble said her social security number was on the Medicaid card she gave the woman, so she has since been monitoring her credit activity.Police say this is an on-going investigation. They believe at least four people were targeted, two of which handed over their personal information. Police say they do have a person of interest and potentially two others.  1848

A potential tropical cyclone is looking to wreak havoc on Central America in the next few days.Known as "Potential Tropical Cyclone 14" by the National Hurricane Center, the storm is expected to form in the northwestern Caribbean Sea on Sunday, with heavy rains heading for western Cuba.The system is expected to become a tropical depression late Saturday or Sunday and become a tropical storm by Sunday night, the center said. On the current forecast track, the center said the system is expected to move across the Yucatan Channel near the eastern coast of the Yucatan Peninsula through Sunday night, and then move into the southern Gulf of Mexico on Monday.There is a tropical storm watch for the coast of Mexico from Tulum to Cabo Catoche, where tropical storm conditions are possible Sunday and Monday. There is also a tropical storm warning for the Cuban provinces of Pinar del Rio and the Isle of Youth.Currently, the storm is moving north at 7 mph. It is 120 miles south of Cozumel, Mexico, and is 240 miles south-southwest of the western tip of Cuba, according to the hurricane center's 11 p.m. ET update Saturday.The storm may also produce 3 to 7 inches of rain in western Cuba and 2 to 4 inches over the Yucatan Peninsula, Belize and northern Honduras through Tuesday. A suspect has been arrested in the package bombing at a church in Beaumont, Texas, as well as a bomb found outside a Starbucks coffee shop that did not detonate, authorities said Friday.Jonathan M. Torres, 40, of Beaumont, was charged Friday with use of an explosive to cause property damage; possession of an unregistered destructive device (improvised destructive device); and mailing a threatening communication, according to court records.Torres' first court appearance is scheduled for Tuesday. A second Trump Organization employee discussed a potential immunity deal with the federal prosecutors who charged Michael Cohen, President Donald Trump's former personal attorney, according to people familiar with the matter.That employee ultimately did not receive immunity after prosecutors in the US Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York decided against granting such protection. The person was not called to testify before the grand jury, the people familiar with the matter said.The employee's identity couldn't be determined by CNN.
