on Upper Captiva Island back in May, and are offering a reward for information that leads to an arrest.NOAA's Office of Law Enforcement and marine mammal experts say they received a report of a bottlenose dolphin found dead with wounds to its head. The wound penetrated from above the right eye, extending almost 6 inches toward the top and back of the head.Warning: A photo of the dolphin provided by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission is embedded below. Some may find the photo to be graphic. The wound ended inside the head at the top of the skull and had evidence of hemorrhaging, indicating wounds consistent with being impaled prior to death.A necropsy revealed the dolphin was impaled in the head with a spear-like object while alive.NOAA says area biologists were familiar with this adult male dolphin, known to approach fishing boats as a "begging" dolphin. They say the puncture wound indicates this dolphin might have been in a begging posture when he was stabbed.NOAA's Office of Law Enforcement and their agency partners are offering a combined ,000 reward for information that leads to the identification, arrest, and conviction of those responsible.Anonymous tips can be left at the NOAA Enforcement Hotline at 1-800-853-1964.Harassing, harming, killing or feeding wild dolphins is prohibited under the Marine Mammal Protection Act of 1972.If you come across a 1399
lately. It's a pretty vague term, but it's also an important step in fighting the spread of the coronavirus. And it starts with one simple rule: Try to keep some space between you and other people. Specifically, about six feet of space. Health officials say that's how far coronavirus can travel through droplets from coughs and sneezes that generally spread the disease. And that's why events — from NBA games to concerts and conferences — have all been canceled. This is "social distancing" and it's increasingly becoming a core part of policies to contain the virus as governments actually take the step of banning large gatherings of people. But it turns out there's a lot of scientific evidence that shows just how effective "social distancing" can be in stopping the spread of a virus. "It gives you some time to prepare a vaccine," said Gerardo Chowell, a professor of epidemiology at Georgia State University. 920

You’re probably working hard, and you’re probably still struggling to pay the bills. U.S. workers put in more hours in 2016 than the average among countries in the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development. Just because you feel underpaid doesn’t mean you are — but it’s worth finding out. Here’s how to do the research, talk to the right people and build a case to get the salary you deserve. 692
King did not return an email asking for comment about the tweet. Evans believes online extremists’ interactions on 8Chan are every bit as dangerous as terror tactics used by ISIS or Al Qaida. He said the U.S. Government should be treating these extremists just like those terrorist groups. “I think the fact that we are closing in on 80 people dead in the last five months is all the evidence that you need of that,” he said. University of Northern Colorado Sociology Professor Cliff Leek has read shooters’ manifestos and is familiar with posts on 8Chan. “When I saw the link to the manifesto, I was completely unsurprised,” Leek said. Leek says these groups know how to recruit and points to their likening the killing missions to video games as an effort to target a group of people. “Especially for younger men who are in their adolescence at a time where many of us test our boundaries, if we enter in a space where we’re are anonymous and there’s no one there to push back and say ‘No that’s unacceptable,’ it almost becomes one-up man ship,” he said. Evans says there is no simple solution. 8Chan is hosted overseas. Evans says he doesn’t believe the shootings will stop as the notoriety continues to build for shooters, in their own circles. Evans says not talking about them won’t stop their actions. “I tried not talking about this. A lot of people tried not talking about this. Now dozens and dozens of people have been shot dead,” Evans said. “It's one of those things where I think I know what not talking about this looks like.” 1556
