Fox News host Tucker Carlson is facing criticism Thursday for comments he made on his show which some suggest appear to defend a 17-year-old who allegedly shot three people in Kenosha, Wisconsin, killing two of them."How shocked are we that 17-year-olds with rifles decided they had to maintain order when no one else would?" Carlson asked on his show Wednesday night.Carson’s comments, which he shared on social media, came just hours after news Kyle Rittenhouse, a teenager, had been arrested in Illinois and will face murder charges for the shooting deaths of the two demonstrators on Tuesday night.The victims, two men from Kenosha County and one from the Milwaukee suburb of West Allis, were participating in demonstrations following the Sunday shooting of Jacob Blake.Blake, a Black man, was shot several times in the back by officers while standing near his car with his three sons inside. Blake survived, and is in the hospital with serious gunshot injuries to his back and internal organs. His family and attorneys say it will be a miracle if he walks again.Since Sunday, there have been demonstrations every night in Kenosha calling for justice.“Kenosha’s devolved into anarchy because the authorities in charge of the city abandoned it. People in charge from the Governor of Wisconsin on down refused to enforce the law.”Carlson's comments received reaction on social media, including from former secretary of labor Robert Reich who tweeted, “If they don't take action after this, every one of Fox News's executives, directors, and advertisers is complicit in Tucker Carlson's racist, murderous rants,” New York Times reporter Nikole Hannah-Jones tweeted, "He just justified murder."Representatives from Kenosha County and Wisconsin’s Governor Tony Evers have not responded to requests for comment from CNN and Forbes. 1837

FORTVILLE, Ind. — We continue to learn more about COVID-19 especially the symptoms and researchers are finding survivors are still dealing with the virus months after beating it.“Luckily for me, I did not have a severe case,” Nikki Privett said.She was diagnosed with COVID-19 in April.“I thought everything was fine. I thought, OK, the worst part was my eyes hurt to move,” Privett said.She thought she was in the clear until several months later when she says her hair was coming out in chunks.“At the end of June I noticed, you know girls our hair always falls out in the shower, but I noticed that more and more was coming out in my hands and then eventually in July it became handfuls and I was shocked and I was trying to figure out what was happening,” Privett said.“The long-term symptoms are you know there's a lot more of them than we expected,” said Dr. Natalie Lambert, an associate research professor at Indiana School of Medicine.Lambert said they’ve found COVID survivors are feeling a wide range symptom including hair loss.“We're finding that hair loss is temporary so that when the body starts to recover because it's a huge shock to have COVID-19 the virus impacts many different bodily systems at once so your whole-body needs time to recover,” Lambert said.“I hope that all of this is just temporary and that our bodies will learn to fight this,” Privett said.Lambert said a symptom that is really concerning to her and other researchers is vision changes. Forget about drones and armies of people driving Amazon trucks. One big Wall Street firm thinks Amazon's plan to build up its air freight delivery service may be what really winds up hurting UPS and FedEx.Morgan Stanley analyst Ravi Shanker said in a report Tuesday that both delivery giants could lose 10% of their revenue to Amazon Air by 2025. Shanker cut his price targets on UPS (UPS) and FedEx (FDX) and both stocks plunged more than 6% as a result.It was a particularly gruesome day for transportation stocks due to worries about the broader economy and confusion about the status of US-China trade talks.The Dow Jones Transportation Average, which includes FedEx and UPS as well as leading airlines, truckers and railroads, fell 4.4% -- its worst drop since June 2016.But Shanker paints a picture that should be extremely worrisome to UPS and FedEx.He notes that Amazon (AMZN), which currently is leasing 40 cargo jets, could eventually have 100 planes running and estimates that the planned Amazon Air routes could overlap with more than two-thirds of the volume flown by UPS and FedEx.That's bad news for both companies since Shanker said that UPS and FedEx each generate nearly 20% of their overall revenue from US air deliveries.Amazon has made big investments to bulk up Amazon Air. In the past few years, it has bought stakes in two freight delivery airlines -- Air Transport Services Group (ATSG) and Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings (AAWW).It also announced plans to invest .5 billion in order to build an Amazon Air hub on more than 900 acres of land that it is leasing near the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport. Amazon bought an additional 210 acres earlier this year.There's a simple reason why Amazon will want to handle more of its own air deliveries. According to Shanker, Amazon could save between billion and billion next year. That works out to about 3% to 6% of its global shipping costs.But on a day when the broader market was tanking, investors didn't seem too enthusiastic about Shanker's thoughts on Amazon either.
