EL CAJON, Calif. (KGTV) — FBI investigators are searching for two men wanted for robbing an East County bank last month.Two men entered the Citi Bank location at 402 Fletcher Parkway in El Cajon on Dec. 27, 2019, just before 1:30 p.m. One men approached a teller and made a verbal demand for money while the second suspect remained in the bank lobby.After receiving an undisclosed amount of money, the suspects left the bank on foot in an unknown direction.The first suspect is described as a Caucasian man, in his late 40s to 50s, about 5-foot-9, with slender build. He had dark, possibly dyed, hair and a dark handlebar mustache. He was last seen wearing reading glasses, a camouflaged baseball cap, long sleeve blue shirt with a short sleeve red shirt on top, and boots.The second suspect was also described as a Caucasian man, in his late 30s, standing about 5-foot 10-inches tall, and with slender build. Dr. Anthony Fauci, the nation's top expert on infectious diseases, said Tuesday that he believes that it's "unlikely" that a viable COVID-19 vaccine will be available before the Nov. 3 general election.Fauci's comments contradict those of President Donald Trump, who implied Monday that a vaccine could be ready by October.During a health forum with Research!America, Fauci said that while it's not impossible for a vaccine to be safely granted Emergency Use Authorization within the next two months, he doesn't think one will be made available until the end of the year.Fauci noted that there are three vaccine candidates currently in the midst of the final phase of testing. Two of those candidates — vaccines made by Moderna and Pfizer — both became the first vaccines to begin Phase 3 testing on July 27.Fauci also noted that both trials are about two-thirds of the way enrolled, and expects those trials to be completely filled by the end of the month. (KGTV) -- A rally was held Monday afternoon in El Cajon to not only celebrate the holiday season, but to also call on local leaders to fully reopen businesses and schools.The “All I Want for Christmas is Freedom” rally took place at the El Cajon Centennial Plaza, located on 200 Civic Center Way.The event was organized by the group Re-Open San Diego and was a “free and safe family event to save the spirit of Christmas, enjoy food, shopping, listening to the Mayor of El Cajon [Bill Wells] play live music, and to advocate for fully reopening San Diego businesses and schools.”State Sen. Brian Jones, Rep. Darrell Issa, and Peggy Hall with TheHealthyAmerican.org will be among those speaking at the rally. DICKSON, Tenn. — Animal rescue officials said dogs found with signs of abuse and neglect belonged to the family of missing 5-year-old Joe Clyde Daniels.Two dogs were found left on a stranger’s property on Garners Creek Road last Sunday night, three days before Joe Clyde was reported missing by his parents.The Dickson County Humane Society and TCB Kennels Boarding & Rescue have been working to give the dogs proper care. “It was pretty sad,” said DCHS General Manager Vivienne Akhdary. “They were very skinny. They were covered in fleas and ticks and were very scared. The dogs were not well taken care of, and behavior shows definite signs of abuse.”“They just pulled over and dropped them off,” said TCB Kennels Boarding & Rescue Founder Trisha Davis.Davis has been taking care of the dogs because the animal shelter is full. The homeowner who found them first contacted her.“They’re actually still searching for the property where the dogs were dropped off,” added Davis.They said it was confirmed the dogs belonged to the Daniels family by relatives and neighbors.The homeowner lived nine miles away from the Daniels. More than a week later, the dogs, now named Joey and Clyde to honor the 5-year-old boy, have been doing better and hope to find a more permanent home soon. Davis said no one has claimed the dogs back. The body of Joe Clyde has not been found, but the search continued one week later.His father, Joseph Daniels, was charged with one count of criminal homicide after he confessed to allegedly beating his son to death and disposing of his body in a rural and remote location.His mother, Krystal Daniels, was later arrested for child neglect or endangerment after she admitted to being at the house when her son died and failed to report the abuse or alleged homicide despite multiple opportunities, according to court documents. Belle Daniels, Joe’s grandmother, told Scripps station WTVF in Nashville she does not know why her son would commit the alleged crime.Akhdary said she cannot help but feel uneasy of what could have gone on behind closed doors.“The parents did not take care of their kids. I don’t think they spent a lot of time taking good care of the dogs.”To help the shelter and donate to the dogs’ cause, visit the Humane Society of Dickson County online.WTVF stopped at the family's house this week, but they declined to do an interview. 2442

Would you go as often if you heard about collisions and damage happening inside?Mark Crotty of Arizona took his new car through a Super Star Car Wash. He says while in the wash, a car two cars ahead somehow came off the rollers. Crotty said the truck in front of him stopped, which caused his car to be sandwiched with the truck and a big SUV from behind. He said that SUV pushed him about 15 feet through the rest of the wash. Crotty says Super Star Car Wash took no responsibility for the damage caused. He ended up paying hundreds to repair damage to his bumpers.Jennifer Chahoud also had damage to her new car. She also said it happened inside a Super Star Car Wash.Chahoud says cars suddenly stopped in front of her and her car was hit. She said for weeks, Super Star claimed they were not responsible.Chahoud said only after complaining to the Better Business Bureau that they paid for repairs to her car.Jake Morrissey says it happened to him too.He said his car was in neutral and his hands were off the steering wheel as all drivers are asked to do. Then his car collided with a car in front and back of him.He said Super Star claimed no responsibility and said it was not their equipment. Instead, he says the car wash blamed another driver.Morrissey said Super Star gave him the driver's name and location and told him to take it up with her. He approached her, but said she denied knowing anything about it and threatened to call the police. He sued, and Super Star blamed this other driver.Morrissey lost and still hasn't had his damage repaired, and he now questions why cars are put on the conveyor belt so closely.Morrissey added he wonders why there aren't sensors that immediately stop the line when there's an issue.JR Ruelas of Super Star Car Wash said these collisions are very rare. He said when they happen, they are usually the fault of the driver.Ruelas said drivers put on their brakes or move the steering wheel taking them off the track.He says in the above cases, the car wash equipment was not the problem.He defended the practice of giving drivers information of other drivers to seek reimbursement.He said Super Star does take responsibility when they are at fault, but couldn't give exact numbers.Ruelas said there are sensors on the conveyor line, but they are not in the middle, where many of these collisions happen.Crotty, Chahoud and Morrissey all said their damage was not their fault, and ask how could it be when they have no control over their car's movement? And they say, they were just stuck.All three of them demanded that Super Star give them a video of their incidents from cameras inside.If you have similar issues, or your car is damaged in another way, make sure to get that video.Also, keep all receipts, file a police report, get damage estimates and push the car wash to reimburse you for the damage.If they don't, you could consider taking them to small claims court. 3076
