(KGTV) — A travel warning for Americans traveling to Mexico was issued Wednesday, ahead of the expected annual Spring Break travel rush.The alert, issued by the U.S. Embassy & Consulates in Mexico, warned U.S. citizens of a list possible dangers, including unregulated alcohol, sexual assault, medical emergencies, and breaking the law in Mexico."Each year, thousands of U.S. citizens visit Mexico during Spring Break. While the vast majority of travelers have safe and enjoyable trips, Spring Break travel can sometimes include unforeseen problems," the alert read.The alert recommended travelers check their health plans for coverage overseas or in Mexico, practice safe behavior when swimming at local beaches, drink responsibly and watch drinks at all times, stick close to friends, be aware when traveling around the country, and protect personal possessions.Anyone who needs assistance is encouraged to contact the nearest U.S. Embassy or Consulate. 968

(CNN) - The maker of Taytulla birth-control treatment issued a nationwide recall in the United States on Tuesday over concerns that misplaced capsules in pill packs could cause unintended pregnancies.A physician reported that four placebo capsules were packaged in the wrong order where active capsules should have been, drugmaker Allergan said in a statement.The physician sample pack should have 24 pink capsules with hormones followed by four maroon capsules without hormones, Allergan said. Instead, the faulty pack had four maroon placebos at the start of the treatment."As a result of this packaging error, oral contraceptive capsules that are taken out of sequence may place the user at risk for contraceptive failure and unintended pregnancy," the statement said."The reversing of the order may not be apparent to either new users or previous users of the product, increasing the likelihood of taking the capsules out of order."Allergan said it is arranging for return of all sample pack products with the lot #5620706 Exp. (KGTV) - A group of Massachusetts police officers and firefighters are being hailed as heroes after coming to the aid of a choking puppy this week.North Reading resident Megan Vitale stormed into a police station Sunday telling officers her 9-week-old Saint Bernard puppy, Bodhi, was choking on food. An acquaintance came running in with Bodhi shortly after, the puppy limp and unresponsive in his arms, surveillance footage from the station showed.A group of officers came running out to begin administering first aid to the puppy. A group of North Reading firefighters also arrived at the station to help with back blows and chest compressions. RELATED: Beloved lizard missing from Spring Valley pet storeAfter 10 minutes, the food blockage was finally dislodged and Bodhi was revived."Ultimately, a life was saved thanks to rescuers falling back on their training and remaining calm. Even though we are not faced with this kind of incident every day, the officers reacted just as they would in any emergency situation," North Reading Police Chief Murphy said. “We are hopeful that the puppy will make a full recovery."Firefighters used a special oxygen tank designed for pets to help Bodhi get breathing again."Many of our firefighters have pets at home in their own families. We do not get to choose the emergency situation that comes our way, so it is important that first responders be prepared for anything," Fire Chief Stats said.Bodhi was able to leave with Vitale to receive follow-up care from a veterinarian, according to the police department. 1599
