SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) — South Dakota investigators say that Attorney General Jason Ravnsborg reported hitting a deer with his car on Saturday night but actually killed a pedestrian whose body was not found until the next day. Ravnsborg's office has said he immediately called 911 after the accident. The Department of Public Safety said Monday only that he told the Hyde County Sheriff's Office that he had hit a deer and did not say whether he reported the crash in a 911 call. The man was identified as 55-year-old Joseph Boever.He was not found until Sunday morning.According to the DPS, the incident happened one mile west of Highmore, South Dakota at 10:30 p.m. CT.Ravnsborg was not injured, DPS said. 715

SpaceX and NASA teamed up again this weekend to launch astronauts into space — and officials hope that this weekend's launch becomes a routine that's repeated often in the years to come.Sunday's mission launched from Cape Canaveral, Florida at 7:27 p.m. EST. It was originally scheduled for Saturday evening, but pushed back because of onshore winds and recovery operations, according to NASA Administrator Jim Bridenstine.Earlier this year, two NASA astronauts launched into space aboard a SpaceX Crew Dragon capsule. The historic launch marked the first time that a private company in the U.S. had launched astronauts into space and marked the first launch with humans aboard from U.S. soil in about a decade.But the May launch was still considered a trial run. According to CNN, that first trip was considered a "demonstration" mission and was flown by two former military test pilots.Dubbed "Crew-1," Sunday's launch is how officials picture the future partnership of NASA and SpaceX to look in the years to come. (KGTV) - A concert at the Belly Up Tavern this Saturday will raise money for a program dedicated to kids with special needs.Banding Together will hold their 7th annual fundraiser from 12-4 pm on February 24th. The concert features three local bands, and one special, surprise guest artist.The bands are Dr. Seahorse, the Grinnell Trio and Jungle Poppins.But the real stars will be the kids and young adults from the program, some of whom will perform with the bands on stage."It's thrilling for them," says Banding Together Co-Founder and Director Angela Meier. "They hear that people like the Rolling Stones have performed a show there and now they get to as well!"The program uses music therapy to help people with special needs come out of their shell. Meier says it's inspiring and amazing to see how they progress."I've had students who have difficulty putting sentences together," says Meier. "And using rhythm and music, all of the sudden they're able to sing whole sentences."In addition to individual and small group classes, Banding Together runs 42 "Jam Sessions" throughout the year, where the students and musicians join together to make music."It's not just that it's making them feel good, but it's giving them self-esteem," says Meier. "It gives them social skills and prepares them to go out into the community and give back."The concert is open to the public and will also feature live auctions, silent auctions and other fundraisers. South Floridians breathed a collective sigh of relief on Sunday as Tropical Storm Isaias made a minimal impact as it traveled up the state's east coast.Once a hurricane, Isaias weakened into a tropical storm as it made landfall over the Bahamas on Saturday. And while the storm brought heavy rain, wind and storm surge to the Sunshine State, it never officially made landfall.Scripps station WPTV in Palm Beach reports that Tropical Storm Isaias caused some power outages in the area and caused rip tides off area beaches, but spared the region of major damage.Now, Isaias has its sights set on the Carolinas. In a 5 a.m. update on Monday, the National Hurricane Center said that the storm is expected to regain hurricane strength before reaching the Carolina coast early Tuesday morning. The agency said coastal areas near the North and South Carolina border could see "life-threatening storm surge."Isaias is also expected to bring flash-flood-causing rains to the Carolinas and the mid-Atlantic through the early part of this week. The links also could install malware on your computer.In a photo, the very real-looking email it asks users to update their payment details, saying the account is on hold."Hi Dear, We're having some trouble with your current billing information.
