SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — At least two teachers are on leave pending investigations at Southwest Middle School in Otay Mesa West. A spokesperson for Sweetwater Union High School District confirms the investigations, saying the teachers are not allowed on campus at the current time.10News uncovered the investigations when a viewer reported that his daughter had been interviewed in the case. He says an assistant principal questioned her about one teacher's behavior, including conduct that could be considered sexually inappropriate.The father, who asked 10News not to use his name, says he's upset that he was not notified by the school before his daughter was brought in for questioning. "I would have preferred my wife to be there, or I could have had the chance to say no, I don't want her interviewed because these are very serious, morbid conversations to have with 12-year-old girls," the father said.He says the only communication he has had from the school is a robocall voicemail the day after the questioning to notify him that it had occurred and suggesting he ask his student about the topics discussed.A district spokesperson says they are limited in what information can be released by privacy and personnel issues. 1233

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Around the world in eight and a half years, one couple returns to San Diego after almost a decade of sailing. Neal Schneider and his wife Ruth left San Diego on their 48-foot sailboat in December 2010. Schneider tells 10News, “I felt like there was an invisible hand grabbing the front of my shirt saying come on you got to do this.” He initially thought it would take them four years to circumnavigate. 38 countries and 49,000 miles later, they ended up taking a little longer. Their path took them to Mexico, French Polynesia, Tonga, New Zealand, Fiji, Thailand, and Africa and beyond. In fact, they decided to spend one whole year living in Thailand. During their adventures there were times where they flew back to the United States. Two of their children got married and they attended the weddings. As the couple prepares for the final leg of their trip, Schneider says, “we are very excited on the verge of being emotional”. An eye-opening experience for the Schneiders, “what a fabulous world this is, but I’ll tell you, I think one of our favorite places in all the places is San Diego.” They are expected to arrive Tuesday evening and dock at San Diego Yacht Club. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — Brendan Watters had big plans for Ballast Point the moment his company took control March 2. That includes creating new beers, and driving a wrapped bus around San Diego for two months announcing that the iconic craft brewery was back under local control. All of that hit a snag two days after sale closed, when Gov. Gavin Newsom announced a State of Emergency because of the coronavirus outbreak. "So basically a week after we were closing up operations," said Watters, the brewery's CEO, who moved to San Diego after the sale. "We had to pivot straight away."Watters' company, Kings and Convicts, bought Ballast Point from Constellation Brands, a Fortune-500 beverage company that paid billion for the San Diego brewer in 2015. Watters declined to disclose the sale price, but did confirm it was less than billion. He said Ballast Point, which launched in San Diego in 1996, lost some of its local charm under an international brand. He says he plans to bring that back, with two new beers launching this summer and an emphasis on design, such as the famous oceanic art that accompanies each one. Still, he faced an unprecedented challenge two days after closing. The tap rooms all shut down, eviscerating 50 percent of its revenue (Watters estimates total revenue fell as much as 60 percent). Watters says the brewery focused on its distribution, and was aided by a federal stimulus loan. Now, the Miramar and Little Italy tasting rooms are reopening with social distancing alterations, such as spaced out tables, and smartphone ordering systems. Watters says he was able to recall most of the brewery's 550 employees. He says Ballast Point can last with the reduced capacity in the short-term, but the longer this goes, the harder it will be. 1780

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- California has some of the most expensive gas in the entire country, and a new study by GasBuddy also claims the Golden State also has some of the most aggressive drivers.According to the study, California ranks number one with most aggressive drivers followed by Connecticut and Georgia.The study claims those aggressive habits are also costing Californians cold hard cash. GasBuddy says aggressive driving habits costs an additional 7 per year in fuel.The habits include hard braking, speeding and rapid acceleration.Further finding indicate that the more heavily populated the city, the more motorists drive aggressively.Check out the chart below:  687

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Cleanup is underway after a driver went on a rampage, hitting three cars before crashing into an apartment building in North Park.  "I heard just a really loud bang noise and I felt the apartment shutter," said Laura C, a resident in that building.It started when police say the 60-year-old driver hit an electrical box while getting on the 805 southbound from El Cajon Boulevard. He went down an embankment and continued south before crashing into a car on the highway. The driver kept going and got off on University Avenue. That's when he crashed into two more cars and a pole near Boundary Street. He then put the car into reverse and plowed through a gas station and into the apartment building wall. "Out of nowhere he just went full blast in reverse until that building stopped him," said witness, Vicki Nikbakht. Police believe the driver may have been under the influence of drugs. Residents were evacuated in fear that the building would collapse. The driver was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. No one else was hurt.  1110
