(KGTV) — Marine Corps Air Station Miramar held an annual mass casualty drill Tuesday ahead of this year's Miramar Air Show.The scenario, centered around an F-35 crashing off the end of the runway into the crowd, included about 20 people playing the part of the injured, complete with fake blood and shrapnel wounds."Getting everybody together is very crucial because one fire department, or one hospital, or one ambulance company cannot handle a large scale incident with a lot of patients," MCAS Miramar Fire Captain Paul Jacobs said.WHAT TO KNOW: MCAS Miramar Air Show 2019The importance is paramount as accidents have happened in the past. NATIONAL CITY (KGTV) - National City mayor Ron Morrison is asking voters to change term limit rules to allow him to run for a fourth term in November.Morrison supports Measure B in next month's June 5 special election. Measure B would establish term limits for the mayor, city council, city clerk, and city treasurer. Officials could serve up to two four-year terms. However, it would essentially reset the clock, allowing Morrison to run in 2018 and 2022."If they want to keep the people in office that are in right now, whether it's the mayor, councilpeople, city clerk, city treasurer, they should have that right to be able to do that," Morrison said in an interview with 10News.National City voters passed Measure T in 2004, which imposed term limits only on the mayoral position, allowing three terms. Morrison was first elected Mayor in 2006.Opponents have put their own measure on the June ballot, Measure C. It would establish the same term limits, but count Morrison's time as mayor, meaning he could not run again.City councilmember Alejandra Soleto-Solis, who is running for mayor, supports Measure C, telling 10News it's time for new blood in the mayor's office. MURRIETA, Calif. (KGTV) — Border Patrol agents arrested a man Wednesday after more than 70 pounds of cocaine were found inside inside his vehicle.Border Patrol agents stop a suspicious vehicle at about 7 p.m. on Interstate 215 near the Muerrieta Hot Springs exit. A K-9 officer was used to search the vehicle and detected possible narcotics.During the search, agents said they located 27 bundles of cocaine stashed inside the vehicle's front and rear seats and underneath seats.The bundles weighed about 70 pounds, with a street value of about 6,450. The driver, a 32-year-old U.S. citizen, was arrested and turned over to Drug Enforcement Administration.The bust capped off drug seizures totaling about 117 pounds within the last 72 hours, according to Customs and Border Protection.“In the last 72 hours San Diego Sector has seized over 117 pounds of lethal narcotics worth more than ,300,000,” said Chief Patrol Agent Aaron Heitke. “Thankfully these dangerous drugs will not reach our local communities.” 1020

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Metro Police have identified the six officers who first responded to the scene of the downtown explosion Christmas morning. City officials say these officers showed up to a "shots fired" call on 2nd Avenue around 5:30 a.m. Upon arrival, an RV on the street played a recording and countdown, saying the vehicle contained a bomb and warning everyone to leave the area. The officers helped several people evacuate before the RV exploded shortly after, around 6:30 a.m."They immediately began knocking on doors, not knowing when the bomb would go off," Chief John Drake said at a press conference Saturday night. "They didn't think of themselves...they thought of the citizens of Nashville. They saved lives today, and their heroism should be noted."
