A man is hospitalized after a flight heading to Tulsa, Okla. was diverted to Phoenix's Sky Harbor International Airport due to an odor on-board.A Frontier Airlines flight that took off from San Diego had to land in Phoenix due to the odor, fire officials said.The plane landed without incident and most passengers were able to de-board from the plane, a Phoenix fire spokesman said. Seventeen people were evaluated as a precaution after an "odor came through the plane and was then gone," a fire spokesman said. A gunman opened fire inside of a Cheltenham Township, Pa. Walmart on Tuesday, leaving five people shot and several others with non-gunshot injuries, NBC Philadelphia reported, citing law enforcement officials. The incident took place around 6:15 p.m., and has since been contained. Eyewitnesses told NBC Philadelphia that the shooting took place at a cash register inside of Walmart.A gunman reportedly took the gun out of his waistband and shot five people during an altercation. A pregnant woman, who was not shot, was injured trying to get away. Two police officers were also injured during a fight trying to apprehend the suspect. The gunman reportedly fired 10 gunshots inside of the Walmart before fleeing. All eight victims are expected to survive. Two people were taken into custody after the suspected gunman and a possible accomplice tried to flee.  917

A convicted felon was arrested Friday morning after he broke into a random apartment and was discovered sleeping on a Rittman couple's couch, police said.Eric Branhan, 36, is charged with aggravated burglary.Police said Branham crawled through a window, busted some blinds and entered the apartment. He ate several pieces of candy from an Easter basket and then fell asleep on a living room couch.The couple who lives there, Jaclyn Fortner and Derek Jenkin, made the creepy discovery just after 6 a.m. local time."We kept saying like, 'Who are you? What are you doing?' And, no response, Fortner said.Jenkin continued to scream at the man while on the phone with a 911 operator."Get out of here! Let's go! Come on!"Police said Branham left the apartment but lingered around the complex and was arrested.Officers found two knives and prescription medication on the suspect."It's kind of scary, especially thinking what's out there, so he could have woke up angry and like escalated the situation," Fortney said.According to state records, Branham has spent time in prison for forgery, possession of drugs, illegal possession of drugs and burglary.Branham was on post release control following his release from prison in 2017.Rittman is located in northeast Ohio, about an hour south of Cleveland.   1335

The press release from CAL FIRE reads, “Those responsible for starting fires due to negligence or illegal activity can be held financially and criminally responsible.”A spokesman for California’s Department of Forestry and Fire Protection, also known as CAL FIRE, told The Daily Mail the family whose device started the El Dorado Fire could be liable for the entire bill for the destruction.The couple was reportedly still at the park where the fire started when firefighters arrived.“We know how it started because they were still there,” Bennet Milloy with CAL FIRE told The Daily Mail. “That, and the fact that there were surveillance cameras in the park.”Milloy says they could face a variety of criminal charges, which could increase if homes and buildings are destroyed.
