FREDERICK, Colorado – The bodies of Chris Watts’ two young daughters were found inside oil and gas tanks that “were mostly full,” several high-ranking sources tell Scripps' Denver affiliate KMGH-TV.The high ranking sources said Thursday evening they believe Watts placed the bodies of 4-year-old Bella and 3-year-old Celeste in the oil and gas tanks owned by Anadarko in order to hide the bodies and conceal the smell.Frederick police officials said in a 6:30 p.m. update Thursday that the bodies of the two young girls were found in close proximity to the other body whom officers strongly believe is Shanann Watts. Her body was found on property owned by Anadarko Petroleum earlier Thursday. For more than three hours, a passenger's dog was inside an overhead bin on United Airlines Flight 1284 from Houston to New York after a flight attendant told the passenger to put it there.Airline officials say it was a mistake. It turned out to be a deadly one. When the plane landed at LaGuardia Airport Monday night, the dog was deceased. In a statement, United called the dog's death a "tragic accident." Spokesman Charlie Hobart told CNN a flight attendant should not have told the passenger to put the dog in the bin used for carry-on bags."We assume full responsibility for this tragedy and express our deepest condolences to the family and are committed to supporting them," the airline said in reply Tuesday to CNN's request for comment about reports of the dog's death. "We are thoroughly investigating what occurred to prevent this from ever happening again." 875

FORT WORTH, Texas — A Texas grand jury decided Monday to take no action against a man who fatally shot an armed man who killed two people in late December at a Fort Worth-area church.Jack Wilson is a firearms instructor who trained the volunteer security team at the West Freeway Church of Christ in White Settlement, Texas. He fatally shot Keith Thomas Kinnunen during a Dec. 29 service after he shot another security volunteer and a communion server. The gunman was heading to the front of the sanctuary when Wilson fired a single fatal shot. KXAS-TV in Dallas reports that there were about 250 people in the church at the time of the shooting.“Texas law allows an individual, when they witness somebody placing others at risk of serious bodily injury or death, to act with deadly force to protect the other individuals,” said Tim Rodgers, chief prosecutor for the Law Enforcement Incident team in the Tarrant County Criminal District Attorney’s Office. “Mr. Wilson did just that. He did it responsibly and, as a result, he was justified under the law in his actions.”According to NPR, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott awarded Wilson the Governor's Medal of Courtage in January following the shooting. The Forth Worth Star-Telegram reports that it is common for a grand jury to review a homicide to determine if criminal charges are warranted. 1340

For the first time, accused Waffle House gunman Travis Reinking has broken his silence.Reinking has been accused of murdering four people and injuring four others in a mass shooting at the Antioch, Tennessee restaurant last month.  Four people – 29-year-old Taurean Sanderlin, of Goodlettsville; 20-year-old Joe Perez, of Nashville; 21-year-old DeEbony Groves, of Gallatin; and 23-year-old Akilah DaSilva, of Antioch – were killed. Reinking was arrested the next day after a massive manhunt, booked into the jail and then he decided he wanted to talk.  He's locked up and undergoing a mental evaluation. In an exclusive interview, Reinking breaks his silence about his case. He called reporter Nick Beres at Scripps station WTVF  from maximum security at the Davidson County Jail. Reinking said he wanted to talk about his case, his mental health and his lawyers.  "About what I'm thinking and what I, I'd like to say on my behalf and stuff like that," Reinking said. In the days after his arrest, Davidson County Sheriff Daron Hall talked about Reinking's behavior and compared him to another accused mass shooter in the jail. That would be Emanuel Samson, who's charged with killing one person last year at the Burnette Chapel Church of Christ, also in Antioch. "I would use the word a little bit more normal for this one compared to the Emanuel [Samson] case, as it relates to interaction. That's probably the word that's been used the most," Hall said at the time.  Since Reinking's arrest, many have wondered if he will try using the insanity defense. When asked about his mental fitness he said, "Yeah, no… I'm perfectly healthy."  As for the shooting at the Waffle House? He wasn't ready to talk about that. "I'd rather not in the setting I'm at right now," Reinking said. But he did talk about his pending criminal case. Reinking has two appointed lawyers, but he said he plans to handle his own legal defense. "That's the thing, I'm choosing to represent myself. I don't know how that works. I didn't like those attorneys," Reinking said. He will likely address that at his next court appearance on June 1. Obviously, there were more questions to ask, but Reinking's call time expired. Also, since Reinking talked about the case he now appears to have violated a gag order and could face a contempt charge, so, no more calls are allowed.  Reinking remains held on no bond in the Davidson County Jail.  Full Coverage: Waffle House Shooting 2635
