(KGTV) — A highly controversial Valley Center horse rescue is being sued for millions of dollars and now faces eviction.According to the lawsuit filed by the property owner, the nonprofit owes more than ,000 in rent. The suit also alleges that the nonprofit “maliciously and abusively” destroyed parts of the ranch. 10News first reported on HiCaliber Horse Rescue in February when the founder was accused, in part, of raising thousands of dollars to rescue horses from slaughter before euthanizing them by gunshot. The nonprofit said that all the bad publicity hurt its fundraising, so it began shutting down in April. However, it still hasn’t left the property. VALLEY CENTER (CNS) - A motorist was killed today when he crashed his car off a two-lane rural road northeast of Escondido while trying to pass another vehicle at high speed, authorities reported.The 35-year-old San Marcos resident lost control of his Acura TL while attempting to steer around a slower-moving Toyota Highlander on Valley Center Road near Rock Hill Ranch Road about 1:15 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.The Acura sideswiped the SUV, then skidded off the roadway and crashed into a power pole and a tree, killing the driver and sole occupant of the sedan, CHP public-affairs Officer Mark Latulippe said.The 35-year-old San Marcos woman behind the wheel of the Toyota was unharmed, as were the six young children riding in her vehicle, Latulippe said. 790

Uber continues to aim for the sky.The tech company has partnered with NASA to help it develop air traffic management systems for its flying taxi initiatives, chief product officer Jeff Holden said on Wednesday.
