(KGTV) - A single mom's heart dropped when discovered her empty parking spot outside an El Cajon apartment.Two days after Christmas, Heather Williams' holiday cheer vanished when she stepped outside her apartment on North Mollison Ave."I came out to go to the grocery store and just stared at the empty parking spot ... My world just started spinning," said Williams.The 1997 white Honda Civic she bought used a few years ago was gone."I feel like a crappy mom. Someone took our vehicle," said Williams.It's Williams' only vehicle. Her kids go to two different high schools in El Cajon. "I have no way to get my kids to and from school. I don't know what I'm going to do," said Williams.Williams also fears her son may have to quit his job at a bait and tackle shop in Lakeside. The car was his only means of getting to work."It's his dream job. He loves fishing ... He's very upset," said Williams.Family members are also puzzled. Williams says she secured the car with an anti-theft gear shift lock."It covers the emergency break and extends to the gear shift. It's supposedly better than 'The Club' and how they got it off, I don't know," said Williams.One possibility: the thief could have loaded the car onto a flatbed truck. Willaims says there are two parrot stickers attached to the car, one on the back and one on the back windshield. The license plate of the stolen car is 3-T-M-J-2-9-5. EL CAJON, CA (KGTV) -- Before the COVID-19 pandemic, many low-income seniors would make weekly visits to their local clinic for treatment. But now times have changed, and so has the way they see their doctor. St. Paul's PACE in El Cajon has made a major adjustment in providing care for their elderly patients. They are now ofering what you might call a clinic on four wheels. "They used to come to the clinic for services, which some still do. But because of self isolation, and the fear of being in a crowded place, we have found a way to take care of them in a different manner," says St. Paul's PACE Medical Director Dr. Victor LeeAnd their new way of helping patients is what they are calling a roving clinic. It's basically the comforts of a doctors office, all inside a van"Our staff came up with some creative ways, and one of the ways was to create and convert a van into a clinic. So we can go to their homes to take care of them."The van is considered a safe place for patients who do not feel comfortable seeking treatment at home, or at the clinic."Doctors can examine them, and nurses can do their vital signs Whatever we can do in the clinic we try and replicate inside the van."There are currently close to 1,000 patients in the St. Paul's PACE program, many of whom Dr. Lee describes as frail with multiple medical problems. So the roving clinic has been a life saver. "They love it. We go to their place, we park outside their apartment, or even in a parking lot. Eight-time MLB All-Star pitcher Roy Halladay died on Tuesday at the age of 40 in a plane crash in the Gulf of Mexico, just off the coast of Pasco County, Florida, law enforcement officials confirmed.The crash occurred early Tuesday afternoon. Officials originally said that a plane with a tail number matching Halladay's private aircraft had gone down in the Gulf of Mexico. Halladay was the only person on the two-seater plane that crashed just off Holiday, on Florida's Gulf coast north of the Tampa Bay area, Pasco County Sheriff Chris Nocco said.Halladay was twice named as a Cy Young Award winner. He won the award in 2003 as a member of the Toronto Blue Jays, and won the award again in 2010 as a member of the Philadelphia Phillies. Halladay retired at the end of the 2013 season after compiling a career 203-105 record in the MLB. "We are numb over the very tragic news about Roy Halladay's untimely death," the Phillies said in a statement. (KGTV) -- Dozens of dogs and cats landed in El Cajon today, after a flight from Louisiana to Gillespie Field. In July, rescue partners at Acadiana Animal Aid in Lafayette, LA helped rescue animals following floods in the area. This month, they've teamed up with the Wings of Rescue to help overcrowded shelters.  The 75 to 90 animals will go to The Rescued Dog, Labradors and Friends Rescue, San Diego Humane Society, and the Rancho Coastal Humane Society.  512

(KGTV) - A chain reaction crash on SR-125 in East County sent two drivers to the hospital Monday.A 25-year-old woman driving a Hyundai failed to stop in time to avoid hitting a Toyota Camry at the Grossmont Center Dr. exit at 9:10 a.m., CHP Officer Kevin Pearlstein said.The Hyundai rear-ended the Camry, pushing the Camry into oncoming traffic on SR-125.A Chevy Impala driver on the freeway did not have time to react and struck the driver’s side of the Camry, officers said.Officers had to pull the Camry’s driver, a 23-year-old woman, from her vehicle. She was taken to Sharp Memorial Hospital with moderate to major injuries.The driver of the Impala had moderate injuries.The Hyundai’s driver, a 49-year-old woman, was not hurt.CHP officers do not suspect drugs and alcohol as factors in the crash. 832
