SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Employees at Sovereign Health in Rancho San Diego tell 10News they have not been paid for weeks.Tracy Hydorn is one of those employees. She wiped away tears, thinking about her piling expenses."I haven't been able to send my son to his prom, buy his yearbook, get tires on my car," Hydorn said. She got emotional as she talked about being able to do "basic paying" of items.Hydorn works at the Sovereign Health facility on Steele Canyon Road. She said her paychecks are five weeks behind."The people that I work with are good people and they're working hard, but the corporation doesn't care at all," Hydorn said.She is not alone. The company has six locations across the country with about 500 employees. Eugene, a driver for Sovereign Health in Florida, said his paychecks are weeks late. He was forced to take on another job as an Uber driver to make money. "I Uber'ed until 5:30 in the morning... and still didn't make enough money to pay my rent," Eugene said.A spokesperson for Sovereign Health told Team 10 payroll issues have been going on throughout the company for six weeks due to a transition to a new vendor. He would not say who that vendor was. They are hoping the situation will be taken care of by early next week and apologized to its employees. Hydorn is trying to hang on, but she is tired of the company's excuses."If anything they had said had been genuine or you could believe it, it would be easier to deal with," she said.  1496

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — Disney officials say they do not believe Disneyland or California Adventure parks will reopen before 2021.During an earnings call on Thursday, Disney Chief Financial Officer Christine McCarthy said the Anaheim theme park will likely remain close through the end of the fiscal first quarter, which ends in late December."While some of our parks are open with limited capacity, we currently anticipate Disneyland resort will remain closed at least through the end of the fiscal first quarter," McCarthy said.RELATED: San Diego County businesses sue amid rollback in reopening restrictionsMcCarthy added that the company does not have any indication of how long restrictions on theme parks will last.California introduced reopening guidelines for small and large theme parks in October. Small theme parks with a capacity of less than 15,000 visitors can reopen in the state's moderate (orange) tier while large parks like Disneyland can reopen in the minimal (yellow) tier.Orange County is currently in the red tier and would need to post two weeks of orange tier data to move forward. The county would need to do the same to move into the yellow tier. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Family members in the South Bay mourning the death of a beloved grandfather and foster parent from coronavirus.Enrique Gonzalez, 68, was doing everything right. He was staying at home. His family was shopping for him. A month ago, he got sick."Runny nose, body aches, fever," said his nephew, Fernando Gonzalez.Fernando says within a week, Gonzalez tested positive for COVID-19."As soon as he had trouble breathing and talking, we took him to the hospital," said Fernando.Doctors put him on a ventilator and into a medically induced coma. Weeks later, after suffering cardiac arrest, his condition deteriorated. A nurse helped his large family talk to him through Facetime calls."Told him jokes, playing music for him ... praying for him. Really tough not to be in the room," said Fernando.A week ago, Gonzalez passed away."Just devastating to everybody," said Fernando.Fernando says the family now grieving the loss of a hard-working man with the biggest of hearts. After Gonzalez retired from decades working in construction, he and his wife decided to become foster parents, fostering over 20 children in the past 4 years."Even when he passed away, still fostering an infant ...
