WEST PALM BEACH, Florida — An Ohio man who flew to Palm Beach County in order to smoke a joint with President Donald Trump at Mar-a-Lago ended up under arrest instead, according to a sheriff's office report.The report says 27-year-old Tyler Jon Marrone of Columbus, Ohio, arrived at Palm Beach International Airport on April 18, the same day the president was hosting?Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe in Palm Beach.Marrone said he found a credit card that he thought was a gift from God so: "I bought myself a plane ticket to Florida to go see the President," the report states.A detective investigating the case said Marrone intended to drive to Mar-a-Lago, walk in and talk to Mr. Trump about "the static and frequency feedback that I constantly hear emanating from my basement and from fans and in my head." He wanted to figure out what they are saying, the report noted.Marrone also admitted that he had been kicked out of the Supreme Court Building in Ohio as well as several courthouses, according to the report.It was decided that Marrone met criteria for the Baker Act, which allows for an individual to be involuntarily committed.An investigator said while checking Marrone's bag a white substance was discovered that later tested positive for methamphetamine. By the end of the first day, 280 cars participated by the close of business.December 4 started with paid forward from the night before, and it went from there. Now, Google Maps will be using a wider color spectrum to bring out more details.Using high-definition satellite images from more than 98 percent of the world’s populated areas, Google uses a new color-mapping “algorithmic technique” to translate the information into a more vibrant map.The idea, according to a blog post from the company, is to create a map with more natural features, so users can quickly distinguish between tan beaches and deserts, or blue lakes, rivers, oceans and ravines.The team at Google Maps explains how the color-mapping works. “First, we use computer vision to identify natural features from our satellite imagery, looking specifically at arid, icy, forested, and mountainous regions. We then analyze these features and assign them a range of colors on the HSV color model.”Google Maps has undergone a handful of updates this year in conjunction with the app’s 15th year in existence, including a better sense of depth in Live View, more detailed directions for commuting, and easy-to-find contribute and explore tabs.Still to come, Google Maps is promising an update that will show more details about street width and shape. With many teachers opting out of returning to the classroom because of the coronavirus, schools around the U.S. are scrambling to find replacements and in some places lowering certification requirements to help get substitutes in the door.Several states have seen surges in educators filing for retirement or taking leaves of absence. The departures are straining staff in places that were dealing with shortages of teachers and substitutes even before the pandemic created an education crisis.Among those leaving is Kay Orzechowicz, an English teacher at northwest Indiana’s Griffith High School, who at 57 had hoped to teach for a few more years. But she felt her school’s leadership was not fully committed to ensuring proper social distancing and worried that not enough safety equipment would be provided for students and teachers.Add the technology requirements and the pressure to record classes on video, and Orzechowicz said it “just wasn’t what I signed up for when I became a teacher.”“Overall, there was just this utter disrespect for teachers and their lives,” she said. “We’re expected to be going back with so little.” When school leaders said teachers would be “going back in-person, full throttle, that’s when I said, ‘I’m not doing it. No.’”Teachers in at least three states have died after bouts with the coronavirus since the start of the new school year. It’s unclear how many teachers in the U.S. have become ill with COVID-19, but Mississippi alone reported 604 cases among teachers and staff.In cases where teachers are exposed to the virus, they could face pressure to return to the classroom. Many low-income families didn’t receive that money, called Economic Impact Payments, because the stimulus checks were based on tax returns.Now, the IRS is trying to fix that, and is asking parents who did not file a 2018 or 2019 tax return to still go to their website and claim a dependent by September 30. The IRS has set up a non-filers tool to help.The non-filers site is designed for those with incomes below about ,400 for couples and ,200 for individuals, and others who are otherwise not required to file a tax return. Those people typically do not file a tax return, and therefore would not have a record with the IRS of any dependent children."Given the extremely high demand for EIP assistance, we have continued to prioritize and increase resource allocations to eligible individuals, including those who may be waiting on some portion of their payment. To help with this, we are allocating additional IRS resources to ensure eligible recipients receive their full payments during this challenging time,” said IRS Commissioner Chuck Rettig.A news release on the IRS’ website also says they will be helping those who may have had part of their payments deducted because of past-due child support.
