The General Services Administration, a government agency that assists incoming presidents with their transitions into the Oval Office, announced Monday that it has formally recognized President-elect Joe Biden’s victory in this month’s presidential election, according to a memo sent by the GSA.The announcement comes as the Trump campaign has been failing to gain traction in its legal battle against a number of states that Biden won.With the GSA’s decision, the White House will be required to provide intelligence briefings for Biden, along with classified government documents. So far, Trump’s campaign has not been able to substantiate any evidence of fraud in court, and has had a number of lawsuits dismissed.After past presidential elections, the apparent winner is given funding and access to documents to begin the transition.Biden pointed to the Presidential Transition Act of 1963, which says that government services and documents be made available to the “apparent” victor of the presidential election.While Trump did not concede on Monday, he said he is recommending his team to cooperate in the transition of power. I do not think that an agency charged with improving federal procurement and property management should place itself above the constitutionally-based election process. Without some kind of support, some kind of stimulus, all facets of the economy are going to struggle and it’s needless," she said while standing in the kitchen of Grendel's.Like restaurant owners around the country, this 50-year-old business owner has tried to get creative, from outdoor screened-in pods for dining to a new line of to-go cocktails and trail mix. The company that owns GEDmatch, the DNA analysis site that police in California used to catch the so-called Golden State Killer, said hackers attacked their database and exposed users' DNA profile data to law enforcement searches.In a statement posted on Facebook, Verogen said they took down their website after being hit by two security breaches on July 19 and July 20.The company stated that GEDmatch profiles were exposed to law enforcement agencies in an “orchestrated through a sophisticated attack on one of our servers via an existing user account.""As a result of this breach, all user permissions were reset, making all profiles visible to all users," the company said in the statement. The FBI and Toledo, Ohio police are searching for a suspect in an armed bank robbery who was mistakenly released from jail earlier this week.According to the FBI, Don Woodson Ellis Jr. allegedly robbed a bank in Toledo on Monday and was arrested and held at the Lucas County Corrections Center. He was mistakenly released on Wednesday night around 10:30 p.m.At the time, he was wearing a black t-shirt, light blue shorts/jeans to the knee and white tennis shoes with dark laces.He was using the name Antwon Moore at the time of the departure from the jail. He is also considered armed and dangerous.The Lucas County Sheriff's Office said Ellis "used deception" to be released back into the community.According to the FBI, he could be in Michigan given his previous criminal record which includes pleading guilty to bank robbery and fleeing/eluding police in Monroe County.Ellis is described as a black male, 28 years old, 6-feet tall weighing 150 pounds.  983
