BEIJING, May 27 (Xinhua) -- Chinese political advisors on Tuesday made proposals on how to ease industrial overcapacity by better market competition and legislation.

The Chinese leader said the fact that he tabled these proposals shows the Chinese side's willingness to pursue common development with neighboring countries.

Nkoana-Mashabane, who was here to co-chair the first meeting of the working group, said South Africa would like to deepen cooperation with China on areas like politics, economic and trade, culture and people-to-people exchanges, as well as enhance communication, coordination and cooperation on international and African affairs.

"In the last three decades, China has focused only on economic development, so now it is time for China to balance its foreign policy approach by integrating security and economic interests," he said.

The China-Turkmenistan Cooperation Committee has done large amounts of efficient work to facilitate the development of the bilateral relations, he said.
