(CNN) -- When a World War II veteran turned 99, he had one regret. He had an opportunity earlier in life to meet some of the last living Civil War veterans, but he didn't go.Now 100-year-old Sidney Walton is giving people across the country the chance to meet one of the last living World War II veterans.Walton has been on a mission to visit all 50 states over the past year and a half, and he passed the halfway mark earlier this month. He's made it to 26 states, meeting with governors and anyone who will hear his story.He wants people he meets to remember the sacrifice World War II veterans made, especially as there aren't many left. He decided to leave his home in San Diego and meet with governors of each state as a way to reach a large number of people.He first met with Rhode Island Gov. He calls it his "No Regrets Tour.""We're going to complete this tour," Paul Walton, Sidney Walton's 64-year-old son, told CNN. He believes in the message his father is sharing so much, that he gave up his job to travel with him.The journey isn't always easy. At 100 years old, the amount of traveling and planning can be difficult. Paul Walton said all their plans are made a month in advance at most. (KGTV) — As fair season gets underway, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention warns attendees to practice safe hygiene at petting zoos and around animals.Animals in exhibits can can incredibly educational and fun, but can also put visitors at risk of various germs that can make people sick, including E. Coli and salmonella. From 2010-2015, the CDC said about 100 outbreaks were reported linked to animals in public settings like fairs, zoos, and farms.If interacting with animals — such as feeding, holding, or petting — or touching exhibit areas, guests should wash their hands afterward. Even if visitors don't interact with any animals, germs can still be spread from surfaces around exhibits.Running water and soap are best to use, but if not available, the CDC recommends using an alcohol-based sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol. If gloves are worn, the CDC still recommends washing hands afterward.Especially at fairgrounds, food can find its way into animal exhibit areas. The CDC warns that visitors should not eat or drink around animals or their living areas. Food shouldn't be shared with animals and visitors should not eat or drink any raw, or unpateurized products.For parents, always supervise children around animals. Children 5 years old and younger should not have any contact with reptiles, amphibians, or live poultry because those animals are more likely to make them sick, according to the CDC.Parents should also leave strollers, toys, pacifiers, and cups outside animal exhibit areas. The CDC also says parents should make sure their children do not put their thumbs, fingers, or objects in their mouths when around animal areas. 1673

Sony has since released various iterations of its Walkman, but it's gone the extra mile with this special 40th anniversary edition.The Sony NW-A100TPS Walkman has a 40th anniversary logo printed on the back, and it comes with a specially designed case and package that pay homage to the original TPS-L2 Walkman. It also has a unique cassette tape interface for those who want to take a trip down memory lane.There will also be a cheaper version without any 40th anniversary branding called the Sony NW-A105 Walkman, the company said.Powered by Android, the new Sony Walkman comes with a slew of features for audiophiles. (KGTV) – Disneyland is bringing the appeal of a secluded, tropical oasis to guests.Disneyland has revealed a first look at its new "Tropical Hideaway" outpost in the theme park's Adventureland area. The outpost has been fashioned into an exotic marketplace along the Jungle River attraction waterfront.Prior to the revamp, fans will recall the area was home to "Aladdin's Oasis."RELATED: Disneyland's 'Aladdin's Oasis' will soon be transformed into a tropical hideawayGuests can find "Tropical Hideaway" by crossing its main bridge, through the park's "Enchanted Tiki Room" or from “Skipper’s Walk,” a pathway at the Jungle Cruise loading dock. Once there, guests will be greeted by colorful array of tropical decor and at night, tiki torches illuminating the secretive jungle vibe.And there will be plenty for guests to enjoy there.
