He says two companies in constant competition are Walmart and Amazon.Amazon recently announced their plans to open 3,000 brick and mortar stores-- that will be cashierless—by 2021.As for Walmart’s new checkout program, the company plans to position workers in the busiest sections of the store. EL CAJON, Calif. (KGTV) -- An act of kindness on the job went a long way for an El Cajon family. On Christmas eve, two El Cajon police officers didn’t hesitate to buy dinner for a family living in their car. While always ready to respond to calls, officers never know exactly what they'll find. On this Christmas Eve call, they found a woman named Juanita and her two children, living in their car. Detective Travis Howard is President of the El Cajon Police Officers Association. He says the officers bought the family dinner at Jack in the Box and then closed the call. But after their shift, they wanted to do more, dipping in their own pockets to get the family a hotel room for two nights so they wouldn't be homeless on Christmas. The two police officers who first helped the family didn’t do it for the praise and asked to remain anonymous. 859
During a press conference on Wednesday, Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden said that he believes the police officers who shot Jacob Blake and Breonna Taylor should be charged with crimes.Biden said that the cases should be handled within the judicial system, but said that the officers in the cases should face charges "at a minimum."Biden added that the person who shot a Trump supporter during a weekend confrontation in Portland, Oregon should also face charges.When asked by reporters how Biden would keep Americans safe in times of civil unrest, Biden said he wouldn't "incite violence" and would condemn it when occurred. He accused Trump of acting "irresponsibly" by not condemning violence amid protests."Protesting is a right and free speech is a right.
