Many Americans have been working from home for months now and students have also been attending class from home.Your make-shift office or classroom may not be that comfortable. Some common complaints may include pain in the neck, shoulders, wrist, forearm, lower back, hips and legs.Physical therapists say if the family is sharing one workspace, it's important it can be adjusted.“You’d like to have a chair that matches the size of the person,” said Michelle Despres, a physical therapy expert. “It should have some adjustability. It should have some variability in what the chair can do. It should provide support for the lower back. It should have support for your legs. You should be able to put your feet flat on the floor and your thighs should be parallel to the floor.”If you're not looking to buy a desk or chair, you can still adjust by using books as a footrest. It's also important your computer setup is comfortable. If you can, try to use a monitor, or an external keyboard and mouse pad.If you are going to buy one thing for your workspace, Despres says a chair is a great investment.“Maybe, if you make one purchase, then probably the chair is the best purchase,” said Despres. “That's something that you can raise and lower. That's something that can adjust the back. You can go to the stores and sit in the chairs, try them out, adjust the arms.”You should be stretching as often as you can. If you're constantly sitting, make sure to stand often. Try to walk around. stretch your wrists or heel raises to get your blood moving. While you're sitting, make sure your shoulders are relaxed and not shrugging. 1630

Marvel Studios and the director of Black Panther released emotional tributes for Chadwick Boseman following his death.Boseman was cast as Black Panther in the Marvel Studios movie “Captain America”, then appeared as the character in his own movie, then two “Avengers” movies in addition to cast appearances. The video tribute from Marvel Studios has interviews with cast members talking about him as an actor and working alongside him.It also has clips from Boseman himself talking about playing the iconic character.“It’s fun to watch just what it means to people. At times, like in my head, I’ll be like ‘well, what does this do for the world, like actually, is it actually valuable in this climate?’ And I have to say yes. It actually is. Not because it makes people escape. I think when done right, it gives people hope. I found that it means a lot,” Boseman says in the video.Black Panther director, Ryan Coogler, released a statement to the media following news of Boseman’s death, in which he called the actor “calm. Assured. Constantly studying. But also kind, comforting, had the warmest laugh in the world, and eyes that seen much beyond his years, but could still sparkle like a child seeing something for the first time.”Coogler says he will miss working with Boseman and that he spent the last year preparing lines for him they will never work on.“It hurts more to know that we can’t have another conversation, or facetime, or text message exchange. He would send vegetarian recipes and eating regimens for my family and me to follow during the pandemic. He would check in on me and my loved ones, even as he dealt with the scourge of cancer,” Coogler wrote. An announcement of Boseman’s death was made Friday, also sharing the actor was privately battling colon cancer. He was 43. 1801

Major League Baseball announced on Wednesday that it was elevating seven early 20th century all-Black baseball leagues — known collectively as the "Negro leagues" — to "Major League" status. The move recognizes the players in those leagues — who were prevented from playing for National or American League clubs because of racist "color barriers" — as Major League players and formalizes any surviving records or statistics from those leagues.Between the late 19th century through 1947, owners of National and American League clubs mutually agreed not to hire any Black ballplayers. As a result, Black people started their own baseball leagues, filled with teams and players across the country.Jackie Robinson finally broke the MLB's color barrier in 1947, when he began playing with the Brooklyn Dodgers. Over the next 12 years, MLB teams gradually began integrating their teams with the top Black players, eventually signaling the end of the Negro leagues. The MLB had previously inducted 35 players into the Baseball Hall of Fame. But with Wednesday's decision, MLB officially declared that the level of play in many of the Negro leagues was comparable to its own and bestowed the title of "Major Leaguer" to thousands of Black ballplayers who were not offered the opportunity to play with white players.According to MLB.com, the MLB has granted "Major League" status to the following all-Black leagues: Negro National League (I) (1920-31), the Eastern Colored League (1923-28), the American Negro League (1929), the East-West League (1932), the Negro Southern League (1932), the Negro National League (II) (1933-48) and the Negro American League (1937-48)."All of us who love baseball have long known that the Negro Leagues produced many of our game's best players, innovations and triumphs against a backdrop of injustice," MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred said in a statement. "We are now grateful to count the players of the Negro Leagues where they belong: as Major Leaguers within the official historical record."The MLB and its official statisticians at Elias Sports Bureau have now begun integrating the various leagues' records into MLB records. The integration could have some significant outcomes on current records lists — for instance, Black players like Josh Gibson, Jud Wilson, Oscar Charleston and Turkey Stearnes may soon be added to the top 10 all-time batting averages list, which would push players like Ted Williams and Babe Ruth out of the top 10.Negro Leagues Baseball Museum president Bob Kendrick applauded the MLB's decision on Wednesday."For historical merit, it is extraordinarily important," Kendrick said, according to MLB.com. "Having been around so many of the Negro League players, they never looked to Major League Baseball to validate them. But for fans and for historical sake, this is significant, it really is. So we are extremely pleased with this announcement. And for us, it does give additional credence to how significant the Negro Leagues were, both on and off the field." 3021

LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Attorney General Daniel Cameron's office has announced that the recording from the grand jury proceedings connected to the Breonna Taylor investigation will be released Wednesday.WAVE 3 News reports this comes after a grand juror filed a motion in the Jefferson Circuit Court to release grand jury transcripts and recordings. The motion called for the court to release any recordings and proceedings in the investigation and to make a declaration that any of the grand jurors have the right to disclose information about the process of grand jury proceedings in Jefferson County for the investigation.Taylor, 26, was shot multiple times by Louisville Metro Police Department narcotics officers serving a warrant just after midnight on March 13.Former LMPD Det. Brett Hankison was charged for shooting 10 rounds from outside Taylor's apartment; some of those shots ended up in adjacent units, which was why he was indicted. He has pleaded not guilty to the charges. Two other officers, Myles Cosgrove and Jon Mattingly, were found to be justified in their use of force, according to the grand jury.AG Cameron released a statement on the motion Monday night. 1181
