It was a moment one lucky Norfolk, Virginia couple didn’t know was coming.Derek Page and his fiancée, Veronica Singer, got a one-of-a-kind gift Sunday for their upcoming wedding in October.“I knew my brother was planning something, but I had no idea it would be this,” explained Derek.Derek’s brother, Alex Page, planned the surprise after coming across a Facebook post.“Instead of getting something off their registry, something that’s replaceable, I just thought it’d be a fun, unique different gift that creates a lasting memory,” said Alex Page.32-year-old Miles Hoyle surprised the couple on their porch by playing a variety of songs on his accordion. The accordionist has been playing the squeezebox for 13 years.The performances are something he calls 'Accordion-at-your-Door' where Hoyle plays songs for special occasions and celebrations - one note and one doorstep at a time.“I enjoy it a lot,” Hoyle said. “I think it helps bring them a little joy too, at least I hope so.”Hoyle started playing outside of people’s homes before the pandemic but said business ramped up right after the stay-at-home order went into effect.“I’ve also played outside a few restaurants on their porches,” he said.Hoyle also plays the accordion in his two bands, The Fighting Jamesons and Mosquito Cabaret, but as the COVID-19 crisis put most live entertainment on pause, his solo performances picked up traction.“I think it’s a win-win for everybody,” Hoyle said.The final song Hoyle played for the couple was Elvis Presley’s “Can’t help falling in love.” The couple applauded after the 15-minute show ended. Derek Page said the surprise left them with lasting memories.“I could not have even expected this, not in a million years,” he said. “This was amazing. It is the best-selling soft drink in Scotland, often referred to as the country's "other national drink," so it should perhaps come as no surprise that the banning of Irn-Bru from a luxury golf resort owned by Donald Trump has caused many Scots to see, erm, orange.Reports that Trump Turnberry in Ayrshire has removed the bright orange fizzy drink, which is more popular than Coca-Cola in Scotland, from sale over fears that the beverage could permanently stain the resort's expensive carpets has been a trending topic in the United Kingdom on Twitter.The ban apparently came to light after a request by guests for Scotland's favorite non-alcoholic beverage to be supplied at an event was refused.As part of the five-star resort's ￡200 million (1 million) upgrade, hundreds of thousands of pounds was reportedly spent on carpets.Ralph Porciani, Turnberry's general manager, told the Ayrshire Post: "We can't have it staining when to replace the ballroom carpet would be ￡500,000 (8,800) alone."We have villas here with Irn-Bru stains in the carpets which I can't let."National newspaper The Scotsman published an editorial on the subject entitled "An unfortunate stain on Trump's reputation.""The resort may have ballroom carpets to protect but surely the stain on Trump's reputation from this ill-considered decision is much, much worse," the newspaper wrote.On Twitter, Edward MacKenzie said: "This time he really has gone too far!" while Occasionally Odd tweeted: "Why don't they just make all the carpets #irnbru coloured?" and Simon MacMichael said: "The President of the United States has just declared war on Scotland."When contacted by CNN, Trump Turnberry did not have anyone available for comment, saying that Porciani was "too busy to provide comments on this." INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — Indianapolis-based Eli Lilly is pausing its trial of antibody treatment for coronavirus “out of an abundance of caution.”It’s unclear exactly what happened to prompt the company to pause its trial.“Safety is of the utmost importance to Lilly,” a statement from Eli Lilly reads. “We are aware that, out of an abundance of caution, the ACTIV-3 independent data safety monitoring board (DSMB) has recommended a pause in enrollment.”The trial, according to CNN, is a combination of two lab-engineered immune system proteins called monoclonal antibodies.
