BEIJING, July 15 (Xinhua) -- China is strongly opposed to the British government's decision to ban Huawei's involvement in 5G networks, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Hua Chunying said on Wednesday.
"We must foster a world-class business environment to attract and harness foreign investment. This is of particular importance under the current complex international environment. Work must be expedited wherever necessary. This is required by a larger purpose, " Li stressed.

Meanwhile, participants including former Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd, former Chinese Minister of the State Council Information Office Zhao Qizheng, and former U.S. Assistant Secretary of State Kurt Campbell, who witnessed and contributed to the development of China-U.S. relations, disputed thoughts that the two countries are doomed to decouple or to be locked in a new Cold War.
Hua made the remarks in response to a request for comment in a press briefing. The British government announced on Tuesday that purchase of new Huawei 5G equipment will be banned after Dec. 31, 2020, and all Huawei equipment will be removed from the country's 5G networks by the end of 2027.
They agreed to work with China to implement a plan outlining China-Arab relations in the next two years, accelerate Belt and Road cooperation, and deepen cooperation in trade, investment, energy, technology, tourism, and culture to achieve common development.
